On this episode of Talking In Circles we break down the Duck Commander 500 from Texas Motor Speedway and take a look at who's hot and who's not. Also we talk about the sudden and surprising drop in tv ratings from Saturday night's race. We discuss why and if that'll be a trend in NASCAR or just a blip on the radar.
Also as we are 7 weeks in the season there are a few drivers who are in the top 20 who are surprising. Aric Almirola, David Ragan, Paul Menard, Danica Patrick, Casey Mears and AJ Allmendinger are all in the top 20. We give you our opinions on who will stay, and who will fall.
Also with some surprises come some disappointments and usually in the middle of the season the crew chief is replaced, not the driver. With that being said we give you guys a few names of crew chiefs who could be in some trouble in the coming weeks.
Also we discuss the changes to NASCAR's All-Star race. Instead of the top two finishers in the event they will go with the two segment winners from each event to transfer from the Sprint Showdown to the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race. Also they've added pass event winners who currently runs the full season in the Cup Series. Right now the event is at 20 drivers. But how have these changes helped/hurt the event and what other changes would we like to see in the All-Star race, that's discussed.
John Harlow from BeyondTheFlag.com joins the show as well to give us his thoughts on this week's topics and we take your phone calls!

With statements like "I beat China all the time!" and "I could shoot someone and not lose voters!" potential future US Prsident Donald Trump epitomises all that is great about America, if by the word 'great' you mean 'mindnumbingly idiotic'. The good news, however, is that most of the other potential POTUS' are an equally horrible lot, so at least there's some consistency. If it is true that the people of a country get the leaders they deserve, then what does the line-up for the next "commander in chief" say about American society?
But Americans shouldn't feel too bad, Europe (and much of the rest of the world) is in equally dire straits, both at the political and social level. Someone appears to have decided that it's a good idea to try and tear the fabric of European society apart by flooding the union with desperate and angry refugees, along with a smattering of jihadi terrorists, thereby inflaming racial, religious and ethnic tensions.
Meanwhile, there are growing signs that that strangely self-aware animal known as the 'global economy' is in very poor health, and may even be planning to throw itself off a fiscal cliff in the near future, dragging us all down with it.
A perfect storm of mindless inanity and fecklessness at the global leadership level, hysterial and xenophobia at the social level, and unfettered greed at the economic level, seems set to blow up in all of our faces. Time to sit back and watch the show?
Join your regular hosts Niall Bradley and Joe Quinn, and our special guests Elan Martin and Bahar Azizi, for a discussion of the madness that passes for normal life on planet earth at the end of Empire. This Sunday 7th February: 12-2pm EST 6-8pm CET.
Good evening, tomorrow morning on The Meter we will cover the upcoming primary in New Hampshire. In the Republican 7 field, Businessman Donald Trump has a sizable lead and Berine Sanders leads Hillary Clinton by a wide margin in the 2 person democrat contest. Both parties held their respective debates this week in the lead up to the nations first primary. Wall Street was highlighted amongst the democrats as Sanders hammered Clinton on her ties to Goldman Sachs. Clinton claims she is the true progressive while Sanders says that title belongs to him. Who do you think is the top Progressive? The Republican 7 had their fair share of fireworks as Christie says Rubio is too inexperienced to be Commander and Chief and Carson critized Cruz for "dirty tricks" in Iowa. Tortue made its way into the Republican 7 as Cruz said waterboarding isn't torture while Trump says he'll "bring back a hell of a lot worse that waterboarding". In other news Barack Obama paired a visit to a mosque in Baltimore admits controversy as that mosque has known ties to terrorism. Was this a smart move by the president? Please join us at 9:00 AM. Welcome to a new episode of WIIM Radio. This time we had me, Jeff and Kyle only (RIP Graham) to cover the week where there were no Wings games to cover, but lots to talk about. Here's what we got into:
The ASG Weekend and the amazing John Scott story - The NHL fell backwards into the best All-Star game I've ever seen. Trying to pick a favorite moment was like trying to pick a favorite kid (meaning you do it, but don't tell anybody because they'll judge you for it).
Dylan Larkin's ASG Weekend - Hey we had a guy there and he caught everybody's eye with how good he is. Larkin rules.
Can you recreate the Scott magic? Should you even try? - Nobody knew what was going to happen this year, but now there's a "script." Is it possible to have this happen again without it all coming across as hokey saccharine bullshit? I say no.
The line combos - Luke Glendening practiced on the third line because of Sheahan's illness. Kyle tries to be ok with it and I say something mean to him because of it.
The defense and the future of Kronwall - Detroit's de facto #1 defenseman isn't capable of doing that anymore. What can he still do for us and what's his future with the team?
Prospects Report - Michelle runs us through all the goings-on with the prospects spread about the world.
Reader Questions - Everybody's favorite segment covers all the great reader questions you left in our mailbag. No duck-sized Eric Tangradis this week, but we got some real good questions.
The Week ahead - The Wings will play four more times before we meet again. How will they do in that time?

Hollywood interracial adoptions are happening at an incredibly high rate. The world followed Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt as their families grew with new additions of interacial adopted siblings almost each year. Those children flourished, became America's surrogate families, and each of those children blended into their new surroundings comfortable in all parts of their identties. Subsequent celebrity adoptions followed, and in many of the cases, there are questionable factors involved that would have been investigated or screened much more closely if the celebrity pay rate were not involved. Specific to African-American adoptees in this adoption wave..such as in the case of Duck Dynasty stars Jep and Jessica Robertson adopting an African-American baby boy into their family...are the effects of being adopted into a different culture more detrimental or cultivating to the children?
