DRAGNET "Sixteen Jewel Thieves" The Golden Age Of Radio Original Broadcast 1950

    in Television

DRAGNET: This exciting episode is titled "Sixteen Jewel Thieves". Sit back, relax, transport yourself back in time to the Golden Age of Radio

Dragnet  is an American radio series, enacting the cases of a dedicated Los Angeles police etective, Sergeant Joe Friday and his partners. The show takes its name from the police term "dragnet", meaning a system of coordinated measures for apprehending criminals or suspects.

Dragnet is perhaps the most famous and influential police procedural drama in media history. The series gave audience members a feel for the boredom and drudgery, as well as the danger and heroism, of police work. Dragnet earned praise for improving the public opinion of police officers.

Actor and producer Jack Webb's aims in Dragnet were for realism and unpretentious acting.

Of all the crime dramas that ever appeared on radio, none can beat the intencity and suspence of DRAGNET. It's no-nonsense approach to presenting the dry, but realistic daily routines of police work, plus the stark drama of fighting criminals, made this series an all-time classic, both on radio, and later on, television. DRAGNET continues to be an all-time classic, and, is the drama that set the standard of all police dramas that followed it, have tried to emulate. None have been able to do so since.

Kingdom Work for Christ through Wellness Today

    in Christianity

This week, Host Emma Boa-Durgammah is blessed to welcome Christ Follower and Kingdom Worker for Christ, Alisha Washington. Alisha will share how Kingdom Work for Christ can happen through wellness today. Her powerful testimony is indicative of the Lord’s Working Power over our mind, body, soul and spirit.

In 2013, Alisha was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), an autoimmune disease that causes the body to overprotect itself. The immune system in turn interprets everything consumed as an enemy. Like her immune system, Alisha had overprotected herself in every relationship she had with friends, family and strangers, putting put herself before everyone, including God. Tune in to find out how Christ miraculously transformed her life to one of service unto Him.

Alisha is currently a Light and Representative for Christ as the proud mother of 18-year-old songstress, Breyonna, a deacon and singles ministry leader in her local Church, within the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of the General Counsel while pursuing a degree in law, a certified personal trainer, nutritionist, mediator, and United States Military Veteran. For the latter, we thank her for her service.

It's Tax Time. What You Need To Know About Income Tax Identity Theft

    in Technology

Join Jim Blue and Steve Weisman in a discussion on how to reduce the risk of becoming a victim of income tax identity theft.

It's tax time and we all know that income tax identity theft is a major problem.  The most common way that income tax identity theft occurs is when the identity thief files an income tax return using his or her victim’s Social Security number along with a counterfeit W-2 that indicates a large refund is due.

In his most recent article in USA Today, Steve wrote "According to the General Accountability Office (GAO), the IRS paid out 5.8 billion dollars in bogus refunds to identity thieves for the tax year 2013 and, according to the GAO the real figure is probably significantly higher because of the difficulty of knowing how much income tax fraud remains undetected.
But it is not as bad as you think. It is worse".

Steve Weisman is a lawyer, a professor at Bentley University and one of the country's leading experts in scams and identity theft. He writes the daily blog scamicide.com, where he provides daily update information about the latest scams. His new book is Identity Theft Alert.
