Wolfhours was conceived in the mind of Shontai Ralieck George a poet ,wordsmith, barz spitter master from Brooklyn New York. Though he now resides in the southern states he still has that gritty streetwise intelligence that makes him one of the most intriguing sought after figures within the poetic community.
The wolfhour concept basically presents a way for everyone to tell their story. Everyone no matter what background or lifestyle, profession or trade, religious or non-religious ..everybody has a story to tell. The guy on the corner begging for change to the lawyer in the courtroom pleading his/her case before a judge , they all have stories to tell. You might have been driving home from work when suddenly a car crosses three lanes just to get in an accident with you. By via of said incident you now have something to get off your chest. Well let it off!!!! We call this a vent. Venting is what the wolfhours movement prescribes if you got some stored up energy that needs to be released in the form of words. Written, spoken, even singing there is no one way to vent.
This blog talk radio show will give wordmiths nationwide a platform to showcase their skills in front of a virtual audience. Spoken word is the new hip hop. The body of the old hip hop is dying so it is up to us as word smiths to preserve this art form by embracing this movement through spoken word. So whether you are a bar spitter ..ballad writer, erotica, political, conscious or what have you. Its time to represent this art to the fullest. As and added bonus we will be featuring some of the hottest spoken word artist in the poetic community, given our callers the opportunity to call in, get in que to spit or ask the featured guest a question. Even if you just want to call in an enjoy the show either way the airwaves will be set a flame.

When you think of AARP, do mobile apps come to mind? AARP is known to provide discounts to is members, provide branded insurance products, and lobby on behalf of Social Security and Medicare. Recently, this same non-profit has released two mobile apps - targeting the Caregiver community.
A caregiver is a term for anyone who helps or provides care to another individual, often a parent or spouse, in handling their daily activities. The caregiver can be paid, such as a nurse, but is more often an unpaid relative. And the person receiving care is often suffering an impairment, and/or dealing with health issues.
These two apps released by AARP (for iOS and Android) provide features designed to help in providing care. For instance, the apps help manage medications, keep a schedule of doctor's appointments and other medical needs, and create and maintain notes you want to share with the doctor. But will this work? Does this actually help someone take care of a loved one? Are these features unique? Are they really the features that a Caregiver needs?
On May 28th, at a special 11am EST/8am Pacific time, we will be joined by Trisha San Diego of AARP, who is the driving force behind the creation and release of these Apps, and we'll ask her these questions.
We'll talk about these apps and ask if there is a sign of things to come from AARP?
Tune in Live at 11am EST, Thursday, May 28th!

Strangely Alright is a 5 piece Power Pop Band from the Seattle that Rockford Rowley from The Weekly Volcano says, “an undeniable emotional appeal. Ringing, triumphant chords and lyrics that allude to conquered tribulations immediately make the music relatable to everyone. Regan Lane's 80’s pop star experience, Ken Schaff''s driving hard rock influences, Preston Darvill's late 90’s heavy hitting grunge love affair, Ray Hayden's keyboard crush on all things prog rock and Sean Van Dommelen's crunchy white boy blues, all collide together creating their unique raw, energetic, sound deep seated with emotion. Lane’s charismatic presence and ability to get asses out of their seats and the underlying lyrical message of hope, empathy, and love live up to the title of the band’s upcoming single, COME ON, a catchy, edgy rock song that's a piece of sugar coated power pop!
Singer Songwriter Regan Lane has had placement and airplay of his heartfelt pop and rock songs on numerous TV shows throughout the US, including A&E's Biography, NBC Sports,VH1's Top Twenty Countdown and Best Week Ever, Anthony Bourdains' No Reservations and Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew along with many other cable and network shows. His jubilant pop song 'U Won't Believe' was heard on NBC's "Race across America" and was also the theme song for "Puget Sounds TV", a Northwest TV show featuring local and national indie artists. Is it possible to be well with something as simple as light? Once you understand how light behaves on our cells, your answer will be YES!
Novel approach of using light to signal the body to correct vascular imbalances concludes the world’s first published double blind-study. Researchers reported that placing a small red light in the sinus cavity makes:
Improvements in blood viscosity, and red blood cell aggregation (associated with many diseases including diabetes)
Improvements of blood lipid metabolite including decreased total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol while increasing HDL cholesterol.
Study conclusion (intranasal) light therapy may improve blood lipid and hemorheologic behavior in patient with Coronary Heart Disease or Cerebral-Infraction
The sinus cavity is easy access to deliver light to the “command center” of the body, the hypothalamus, pineal and pituitary glands. This area is saturated with photo receptors which respond to light.
Imagine a device the size of a few stacked credit cards, which may improve blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes: a universal adaptogenic remedy to reverse the effects of degenerative diseases (aging).
A medical breakthrough in self-healthcare which is a small light inserted into 1 nostril for 25 minutes per day during almost any other activity including driving, watching TV, exercising.
There is a large body of evidence from over 50 years of international studies on “blood irradiation” which has many names from blood photo-luminesce to photo oxidation.
This emerging new science is called PBM (Photo Bio-Modulation).
Dr Jonas, your host for the Dr Synonymous Show, will reflect on how much fun he has as a Family Physician. He'll lament about some of the intrusions on the fun and note how Direct Primary Care and Volunteer (Free) Clinics counter the lamentable intrusions.
Insights on Advance Care Planning from the BellHOP Cafe session on May 20th.
Patients patients, patients. The heart of Family Medicine is the relationship with patients. Seeking a Win-Win while the rest of the healthcare system seems to be driving toward Lose- Win or Lose-Lose strategies.
