A Global Effort To Ban Canned Hunting

    in Environment

Recently, a German multi-millionaire named Rainer Schorr ignited a global outrage when he paid $60,000 to kill Africa's biggest elephant. He later posed with his 'trophy' without any remorse for his actions. This was merely a few short weeks after American dentist, Walter Palmer shelled out $50,000 to shoot and kill Cecil the lion. Cecil was beloved by tourists and locals in Zimbabwe. Palmer also showed no remorse as he posed with the once majestic lion.

Although the global community was outraged, their actions remain perfectly legal. For many years, groups like LionAid and White Lion Trust, as well as countless others have been advocating for the protection of big cats and other wildlife. educating the world about the dwindling global lion population, they are still not a protected species. In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer talks to Stephen Travis, President of ProtectingAfricanLions.org about new efforts to globally ban canned hunting. Stay tuned.

Applying Complexity Leadership Theory to Drone Airspace Integration

Applying Complexity Leadership Theory to Drone Airspace Integration

This book examines the leadership challenge created by the requirement to integrate unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) into the national airspace system (NAS). The overall lifecycle of leadership does not lend itself to a simple definition or a defined timeline that anyone can follow. As much as society enjoys creating, all of the processes and technology to simplify our lives (although this is debatable), leadership deals with humans and humans are not that simple. The challenge is that the FAA follows a leadership and change management model that is authoritarian, linear, and evolutionary.
