Join us this Friday for a great show, featuring the author of the new book, "What did Jesus drive?" by Jason Vines.
Detroit has seen lots of high-profile crises in recent years and Jason Vines always seems to be around, trying to put out the fires, or in some cases, stoke a heated reaction.
Vines, 54, has headed PR for Chrysler, Ford, Nissan North America, Compuware and religious book publisher Zondervan. He also wrote jokes for Lee Iacocca speeches in the 1980s, mounted an auto industry defense again the persecution of SUVs two decades later, and lobbied for rescue loans to keep GM and Chrysler afloat in 2008.
Now Vines, Detroit’s most provocative public relations showman in memory, is going public with the stories behind the big stories of his career with a memoir entitled, “What Did Jesus Drive: Crisis PR in Cars, Computers and Christianity.”

There are many truths worth fighting for, and there are underlining truths that seem to blur the lines. What makes men wage war? While attending the 2014 Netroots Nation conference, Gaius Publius — contributing writer at AmericaBlog and member of the Virtually Speaking Sunday media panel — conducted three interviews under the heading "Five Questions."
In 2014, Gaius spoke with House Democrat Keith Ellison; economist Stephanie Kelton; and Democratic strategist and activist Robert Cruickshank.
In this podcast, Gaius talks with Robert Cruickshank about:
• RC's view of the so-called "budget for burnable carbon" and the looming climate crisis.
• How progressives can win even if Clinton is the 2016 nominee.
• RC's journey from Rush Limbaugh–conservative to committed progressive activist.
Gauis first published this series of conversations at AmericaBlog. Original link: http://americablog.com/2014/09/five-questions-robert-cruickshank.html

Automotive Journalist ALAN GELL was among a group of media invited to the Washington D.C. area for the presentation and test-driving of the all-new 2015 Dodge Charger. While at the event, Alan sat down with ALISON RAHM, the Chief Engineer for this great new car to talk about what made it so special.
The Challenger is definitely a muscle car, but the Charger is expanding the boundaries. It is a four-door sedan that offers up 485 hp for everyday driving and 707 hp with a Super Charger V8 Hellcat engine. The CHARGER is a full-size family car with all the safety features and more, that can be taken out on the race track. It much more modernized but is not a boring car.
