  • A Dance with Destiny - Dream Catchers - Les Paul Morgan

    in Radio

It is my personal belief that many people living with TBI and related disabilities are living a life of learned helplessness much as my frequent visitor and Friend Anthony so well describes in his recovery when he talks about it on my show!

I believe that many people with disabilities just need a helping hand of encouragement and a voice of reason and understanding to re discover their own power and their own voice again and that is part of what I do on my job as a peer supporter Advocate. I work with the survivor and try to come up with solutions along with them. It is your choices, your life, your Destiney that is as stake so I want to work along with you so if you’re ready take a dance with Destiney tonight along with me on the journey of a life time!!!

    Topics to be discussed include:

    Over powering negative self-talk

    Bold Moves

My life, My Rules, My Dreams!

Throwing out the trash (Negative People, Negative thoughts)

Life is to short - Live it Love it!

    Helping other helps you

Getting involved with the right people

    Open Floor…

    Topically Yours, Christopher B. Pearman

    in Entertainment

Host Deardra Shuler talks with author Christopher B. Pearman about his book,"Dream So Big: A Parent's Guide to Helping Your Child Believe & Achieve," on Wednesday, June 24th at 2PM on the BlakeRadio Network. A positive man, Christopher seeks to inspire individuals to reach their highest potential.  Pearman applied certain methodologies to his life and sought to instill those same values in his daughter, Raven Symone, in order to help her achieve her dreams at a young age.  He did this by applying the 8 principles he calls Dreamcatchers.  The Principles are:  Pay Attention, Believe It, Picture It, Aim Straight, Get Real, Kill Fear, Do Good, and Be You.

A Health and Wellness Coach, Certified Personal Trainer, health proponent and motivational speaker, Pearman talks about how he has applied these guidelines that have served as a road map to success.  He encourages interested parties to achieve with their children what he was able to achieve with his own family. Christopher's book is a practical guide to help parents to not only help their children achieve their dreams, but to help anyone willing to apply the principles to achieve the succes they seek.   Stay Tuned and Learn how to "Dream So Big."

Dream it, achieve it, & believe it - Dream Catchers with LesPaul

Dream it, achieve it, & believe it - Dream Catchers with LesPaul

I often hear people say it’s so hard to be a survivor and a Thriver which is very true and yet I feel the words survivors and Thriver are often used to lightly with little thought of their true power and meaning!

Tonight I want to call on everyone in attendance on Dream Catchers Brain Injury Radio Network Show to think long and hard about the words we use to describe ourselves and start claiming that we have power in our thoughts and words that we use that can change the way others perceive us in every way every Day be it Good or Bad but we have to believe in ourselves before other will believe in us so tonight I challenge

Everyone including myself to work even harder to break down the barrios to success and live the Dream of Inclusion for all like so many who died in the fight for Freedom and Independence in the past did for us so let’s break down the walls of injustice  and raise the Flag of freedom for all people with Disabilities around the World!!!

I also want to share a lot about the ADA Leacy Tour that I was very Involved in all week long as well so I have a lot of to share.

The Early Bird Midnight Special! - Dream Catcher - Les Paul & Friends

The Early Bird Midnight Special! - Dream Catcher - Les Paul

At 22 Years of age I was young and pre TBI. I was feeling very heathy and taking on the future like on like a Mad Man on a mission when an AVM in my brain that had been hiding quietly erupted like a violent Volcano in my Brain from Birth struck from deep within my Brain as fast as lightning as I Screamed for help collapsing to the cement floor of the Factory that I worked as the fire of the explosive Aneurism in my brain hit me with blunt and brutal Fury from deep within my Skull with murderous intent!

I had visons of both being a professional Moto Cross Racer and a singer song writer musician and yet there I was screaming in pain like never before fighting for my very existence. The Good News is I am still here alive and kick wiring many permeant battle scars and even though I had several more surgeries all over my brain I have lived long enough to be thankful for all the pain and even can say I feel blessed. How about you do you feel week tired and angry or do you view life through a different lens that say no matter what keep on moving and fight not only for your own Independence but as a freedom Fighter for Justus and good for all people with disabilities.

Tonight I’m calling my show the Midnight early Bird Special because in my mind I say it’s time to celebrate success and heck even failure if you dare to believe in your Dreams because failure is just another word for survivors who are inspired to go back jack and do it again and again until we find out yes indeed life is good and worth living if you only give you self a chance and fight for the future with all the gusto you can muster up!!!

We will Talk and chat tonight so be ready to share your stories and listen to some great Indi music because and life is good and well worth living here at Dream Catchers a place where people come to listen, Learn, talk, and feel like part of the community again!
