Parenting is really hard, but it's especially hard if you're the parent of a child with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. There's so much advice being thrown your way, a lot of it telling you to be more firm, more consistent, and more diligent with the rewards and punishments. If all those sticker charts, time-outs, screaming matches, arguments have you feeling like a lot of parents do -- isolated, frustrated, and desperate -- well, you've found a program that can help. On this program, Dr. Ross Greene -- author of The Explosive Child and originator of the Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) approach -- helps parents understand challenging behavior and overcome many of the hurdles involved in implementing his model. It's very hard work...and this is a great opportunity to call in, ask questions, get the support you need, and or just listen to other parents or relatives who are dealing with similar real-life issues. The program airs every Monday at 11 am Eastern time from September through May. Sponsored by Dr. Greene's non-profit, Lives in the Balance (www.livesinthebalance.org).

Do you know that God wants the best for you? What is holding you back from getting the best from God and being the best?
Are you in a relationship where in your heart you know isn’t the best for you? Are you dealing with a guy who is sorta-saved when you know you should be with a God fearing man? Is this man a flesh thinker or does he consult God before he makes moves?
Are you in an abusive relationship? Do you think God wants you- His favored child in a relationship where you are getting abused mentally or physically? Or does God want to strengthen you so that you can step away from this relationship so He can send you better?
Are you dealing with an addiction? Alcohol, drugs or sexual? Does your happy hour turn into night of unhappy decisions? Are you drinking to get through the day? Are you smoking weed to calm down or to have clear thinking? Are you dealing with lustful thoughts that have you addicted to sex? God doesn’t want us to addicted to anything but Him. If you are addicted to alcohol, drugs or sex, God can break you free from that addiction.
Are you shackled to mediocrity? Are you okay with just being good enough in your life? Do you realize that God wants us to be better and have better. Don’t settle for mediocrity, there is nothing cute about living, doing or being just enough when God wants us to strengthen us to be great. We are supposed to live full and have abundance.

Ephesians 2:8, 9 teaches us that it is "...by grace (we) have been saved through faith," and that this Grace, this faith and this salvation is "not of (ourselves)", but rather; "it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." Throughout my time as a student and teacher of God's Word, I have encountered many who, because of a lack of understanding of the salvific experience as illustrated in scripture, place an inordinate amount of emphasis on what they believe is their contribution to their salvation. While this error in understanding can and does stunt the growth process and potential service of the spiritually young believer, it is generally easily and effectively remedied by spending time in God's Word illustrating what God taught on this very subject. While it is the purpose of Almighty God that all believers grow beyond legalism in their service of him so that they can become effective representatives of Him to a lost and sin sickened world, this same legalism serves to protect "babes in Christ" (Carnal Christians) from opening themselves up to any and everything that seeks to subvert their development into "The Measure of the Stature of The Fullness of Christ" (Spiritual Christians). To be clear, I am not espousing that legalistic teaching in any way is biblically viable or permissible from a Christian perspective. Join me as I address these issuess from the Word of God. I'll also be taking your questions and/or comments live on air at (646)652-2905. Questions and/or comments off air should be directed to (614)388-8838 or e-mailed to email@example.com. Join Dr. Cheryl Cottle and her guest Mercedes Dash as they talk about Meaningful Living and how it is sometimes achieved by transitioning. Sometimes we have to go through many stages of change to eventually achieve the peace and life that we want. To ensure that life is worth living, one must live a meaningful life. To achieve that life, one sometimes has to transition. Transitioning or changing becomes a part of the process of growth and development. For some transitioning is a continuous process until you reach that point of self-actualization — where you know yourself, value your self-worth and love who you are.
When adversity hit Mercedes due to the loss of her family’s business, Mercedes decided to look deeply into herself to find out was heart-centered and soul-filling for her. Taking care of children was her love and passion having brought up 4 sons and taken care of her seven grand-children. Mercedes also went back to college where she took a course in Early Childhood Development to better prepare her for her role in education. Mercedes is also a serial-entrepreneur recently opening an in-home preschool and childcare. In September of this year Mercedes added a new business; a children’s party business which is named Children’s Party to Go.
