    in Politics

The Armenian Genocide a was the Ottoman government's systematic extermination of its minority Armenian subjects from their historic homeland within the territory constituting the present-day Republic of Turkey. The genocide was carried out during and after World War I and implemented in two phases: the wholesale killing of the able-bodied male population through massacre and subjection of army conscripts to forced labour, followed by the deportation of women, children, the elderly and infirm on death marches leading to the Syrian desert.   Tonite we will hear from Author Virginia Apelian who wrote the book "Musa Dagh Girl, Daughter of Armenian Survivors." Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

    in Politics

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder occurs when a person is exposed to one or more traumatic events, such as sexual assault, warfare, serious injury, or threats of imminent death.  The diagnosis may be given when a group of symptoms, such as disturbing recurring flashbacks, avoidance or numbing of memories of the event, and hyperarousal, continue for more than a month after the occurrence of a traumatic event. Most people having experienced a traumatizing event will not develop PTSD.  People who experience assault-based trauma are more likely to develop PTSD, as opposed to people who experience non-assault based trauma such as witnessing trauma, accidents, and fire events. Children are less likely to experience PTSD after trauma than adults, especially if they are under ten years of age. War veterans are commonly at risk for PTSD.  Tonite, we will discuss the issue from a veterans view point.  We will be joined by the CEO of the ARS BELLUM FOUNDATION. Bridget Cronin.  She will discuss how the foundation is helping many veterans and their families.

    Truth in American Education

    in Politics

The Common Core State Standards Initiative is an educational initiative in the United States that details what K-12 students should know in English language artsand mathematics at the end of each grade. The initiative is sponsored by the National Governors Association  and the  Office and seeks to establish consistent educational standards across the states as well as ensure that students graduating from high school are prepared to enter credit-bearing courses at two-or four-year college programs or to enter the workforce. In the 1990s, the "Standards & Accountability Movement" began in the U.S. as states began writing standards outlining   what students were expected to know and to be able to do at each grade level, and implementing assessment designed to measure whether students were meeting the standards. As part of this education reform movement, the nation's governors and corporate leaders founded Achieve, Inc. in 1996 as a bipartisan organization to raise academic standards and graduation requirements, improve assessments, and strengthen accountability in all 50 states. The initial motivation for the development of the Common Core State Standards was part of the American Diploma Project (ADP)..  Guest  Wendy Lynn Day  of Elect Wendy Lynn Day This Show by Studentsforabetterfuture.com

Genetically Modified Organisms and How They Effect You

    in Politics

Genetically modified organisms (GMO’s) are a broad group of plants, animals, and bacteria that are engineered for a wide variety of applications ranging from agricultural production to scientific research. The types of potential hazards posed by GMO’s vary according to the type of organism being modified and its intended application. Most of the concern surrounding GMO’s relates to their potential for negative effects on the environment and human health. Because GMO’s that could directly effect human health are primarily products that can enter the human food supply, this website focuses on genetically modified food. To date, the only types of products that have been approved for human consumption in the U.S. are genetically modified plants (FDA website).

All genetically modified foods that have been approved are considered by the government to be as safe as their traditional counterparts and are generally unregulated (FDA website). However, there are several types of potential health effects that could result from the insertion of a novel gene into an organism. Health effects of primary concern to safety assessors are production of new allergens, increased toxicity, decreased nutrition, and antibiotic resistance (Bernstein et al., 2003). Read more about the effects of these foods here:  Studentsforabetterfuture.com

    THE AMBUSH AT GANJGAL

    in Politics

Before four Americans were abandoned and left to die in Benghazi, there was the ambush at Ganjgal.

Susan Price lost her 30 year-old son, Aaron Kenefick on September 8, 2009 in what is now known as the Ambush at Ganjgal. Aaron’s story is not a simple one. Having served security detail to three presidents and twice awarded Marine of the Year in 1999 and 2007, Aaron began to ask questions as he noticed that “things” were not as they appeared. Before he could get answers to those questions, he was executed in a dusty valley in Afghanistan. An investigation was launched but addressed none of the concerns of a grieving mother.

Susan turned from a grieving mother into a tenacious investigator for the truth – not only for the truth behind the death of her son, but the larger truth about America’s wars, political corruption, and an out-of-control military-industrial complex. Susan will hold your attention with her findings from years of research, investigation, interviews and inquiries, and awaken you to what’s really going on behind the scenes in Afghanistan, Iraq and all across the Middle East and Africa.  FOR MORE ON SUSAN PRICE GO HERE:  http://priceforjustice.com/

With Liberty and Injustice For All!

    in Politics

"There is something terribly wrong in America – with America. People can feel it, they can sense it, and are now beginning to see “it.” Anyone with spiritual discernment knows that America is in deep trouble. We are bankrupt as a nation, not just financially, but morally and spiritually. Political solutions alone will not repair the spiritual problems we have. There is a war being waged against the very principles on which the United States of America was founded. Judeo-Christian values, morality, ethics, integrity of strong men and women of faith, unafraid to acknowledge the Divine origins of the God-given rights to the people of a new nation are now the new targets. This covert war did not just suddenly appear under the reign of Barack Hussein Obama, but it was most certainly expedited by his command. Definitions of “enemies of the state” were changed from actual or potential terrorists to those whose beliefs and values did not match his agenda. Where the Guilty of Buffalo Roam Free and the Skies Remain Cloudy All Day

    in Politics

Join us tonite at 8pm Eastern Time to listen to a broadcast followed by live discussion with Leslie Brill, the mother of Amanda Wienckowski.  On Januuary 9, 2009, the body of Amanda Wienckowski was discovered naked and upside down in a garbage tote across the street from the residence of Antoine J. Garner.  Antoine Garner (not charged in her death) has been a person of interest to the Buffalo Police.  The initial Eerie County Medical Examiners Report stated she died of a drug overdose.  However, retired Buffalo Homiced Detective "Mark J. Lauber " is breaking his silence and has come out to say that he believes the most likely scenario was that a large person accidentally choked the petite, 20-year-old Kenmore woman during a paid sexual encounter. The medical examiner toxicologist was notified and said that he agreed with the detective but no other cause was found.   Wienckowski’s family sought the assistance of attorney Steven M. Cohen of the Amherst law firm Hogan Willig and had a second autopsy done by a West Coast pathologist who concluded that
