    STRAIGHT UP TALK WITH MOONLADY76

    in Radio

TONIGHT MY GUEST WILL BE LINDIA IMPERIAL AND DAVID FREIBERG. WITH THE GREAT NEW CD'S LIB THE LINDA IMPERIAL BAND AND Destination You Linda Imperial Linda Imperial, alluring chanteuse, has been entertaining audiences throughout the world with her powerful and emotional vocals. From her work in Rock (Quicksilver Messenger Service, Jefferson Starship), Jazz (with the New York Jazz Explosion) and Dance (Loverde, Sylvester, Weather Girls and the list goes on), she’s developed an all encompassing repertoire in many genres.
Her debut solo album defies classification, drawing from her passion for music of many styles. You’ll hear powerful Jazz influenced songs as well as Adult Contemporary, Blues, Smooth Jazz and Dance grooves. She’s gathered her friends, world-class musicians, to compliment her magnificent voice, among them guitarists Grammy winner Roy Rogers, Garth Webber(Miles Davis) and Gary Duncan (Quicksilver Messenger Service), drummers Prairie Prince (The Tubes, Jefferson Starship, The New Cars) and Gigi Gonaway (Mariah Carey), bassist Bobby Vega (Zero, Etta James) and singers Annie Stocking, Roberta Donnay and Larry Battiste. She’s written and co-written much of the album as well as co-producing it with David Freiberg (Quicksilver Messenger Service, Jefferson Airplane/Starship).
In the end, it comes down to Linda’s phenomenal vocals. One listen and you will truly feel the emotion, honesty and passion of a world class vocalist. Sleek, powerful and polished pop from journeymen professionals should come as no surprise, but the real gift of this album is vocalist Linda Imperial and her way with a song.
