Tony Trupiano: The Voice of the People for Tuesday, December 1, 2015

    in Politics Progressive

December 1, 2015, begins the march toward a new year and a new focus if we so choose.  I choose the new focus and I hope you will join me on this journey as we wrap up 30 days of watchful legislative action as every year-end pushes topics and agendas that many in the state and federal legislative think we are not paying attention to, but we are, oh, yes we are!

Today we begin that march with regular guests Ryan Fishman with the Fishman Group, Mark Brewer with Goodman Acker and Chad Selweski.  Topics will be diverse and carry messages I hope you will help me deliver to a wider audience.  The goal, as always, is to empower more people to facts and truth so that change can and will happen, even if it is one person at a time.  Please pay attention today as you will get information here that no one else is discussing in this kind of detail and we will give you direct access to insider information, analysis and opinion based in reality.  That is a promise Tony keeps daily!

Join us on-air by calling 347-308-8392 or e-mail Tony at tony@thetonyshow.org. You can like us on Facebook at Tony Trupiano or at The Voice of the People and on Twitter @tonytrupiano and @ VOTPTony.

3 Ways To Not Freak Out Over Infuriating People

    in Motivation

    Leadership fundamentally is about influence.

People who want to influence positively, effectively and authentically need to remember that people will drive you nuts every single day and the difference between "most people" and a leader is someone who tries to power through personality differences with the goal to end up with a more productive climate.

Included in this short podcast is Allison McClintick's  (aka the Influence Junkie) take on 3 sure fire ways to be a leader and not "most people".

You Don't Have To Be Alone To Feel Lonely

    in Self Help

In this cyber world, I would say I don't feel connected when I engage in social media. It is not to say, I do not enjoy pictures, animal videos or engaging in a conversation; it just means for me, I never feel a deeper connection. Now, before technology brought us social media, there were a million and one ways to feel lonely--if you were isolated, not necessarily physically, but emotionally, then you more than likely experience a deep loneliness.

Is there an increase in loneliness, or is it just more evident based on other societal factors, which may have increased our aversion to emotional intimacy (making it easier to keep a distance)?  I mean text messages carry, so much significance don't they?

Many of us have sky high walls--we think it protects us from pain or the possibility of it in situations, which brought an unhappy end in the past. We don't want it to happen again--so we place distance between us and others, even if we are in a  love relationship with them. Who wants to be vulnerable? We might lose control, we could be disappointed or worse annihilated!  We push others away and it is in opposition to our deepest desires, the physiological need to be seen and heard; to be loved for who we truly are, at our most authentic state of being.

Join me for this discussion and how to stop your own loneliness right in its tracks! This could be the day you decide to come out and play intimately with others. :)

While others treat us with contempt because they are jealous and envious and do everything possible to sabotage our good fortune, it’s time to let them go, put them out and move on!!
