CUTV News Radio spotlights Margo Boster of ImpaQ Solutions

    in Business

Scottsdale, AZ – Studies confirm the importance of leadership development and the positive impact effective leaders can have on company performance. Organizations committed to leadership development often outperform their competition.

Margo Boster is the co-founder of ImpaQ Solutions, an organizational consulting firm concentrating on the people side of business. ImpaQ Solutions works with clients nationwide to improve business and organizational achievement while enhancing the experience of the people within those businesses. Margo specializes in providing effective leadership and management development that includes coaching, assessments and organizational support.

“Sometimes a business is successful, but they don’t understand why they’re successful and what they need to do to continue to succeed,” says Margo. “We work with companies to help them do more than they ever thought possible.”

When a company experiences rapid growth there may be a new team working together. People get promoted because they were good at what they did. But just because they were a good contributor or manager does not mean they’re going to be a good executive or leader. Margo says she’ll often be called in to an organization when a team is not working together cohesively and performing as well as they should.

“I was them. I was that manager. When I became a leader I learned the hard way. So it’s not theoretical to me. I understand it and relate,” says Margo. “I’m very good at listening and asking the right questions. A lot of what I do as a coach is to help them increase their awareness, willingness and skills.”

Water for Health: Are you choosing the best?

    in Current Events

Water, water everywhere, is it really?  And how safe is that water to drink, bathe and use for our bodies?  Recently World Water Day was very clear in showing the imperfections in our water systems, the scarcity of global water and the power to control the supply and additives in local water companies.  Do you know what you are drinking?  There is so much on the internet about RO water, dead water, alkaline water, and so on.  How do you choose?  By peer pressure, your neighbors advice since they see you drinking a particular way or by the sources that tell you their water is perfectly safe since they are dumping things in to it to make it that way.

Clayton Nolte, a scientist who studied nature for 40 years has created a device that works like nature to create pure clean water just like water from a spring.

Sara Snow shares life lessons presented by Tom's of Maine

    in Lifestyle

The average person produces over 4 pounds of trash every day, and about 1.5 tons of solid waste each year. While some 75% of it is recyclable, we only follow through on about 30 percent.*

So, now that it’s time to do that spring cleaning, our guest says it is the perfect time to go room by room and see what we can “upcycle”.  Better still, she’s got advice on how to get the kids involved.

Green living expert and author Sara Snow joins us now.

    Good Morning, Sara!

    SUGGESTED QUESTIONS

    1.      Sara, let’s start with the room we spend most of our time in, the kitchen.  What can we be recycling there that we may not be doing already?

    2.      It’s tough to get kids to part with their toys, even when they’re broken, but now there’s a way to recycle them and get our kids excited about helping the planet at the same time, right?

    3.      What about the living/ family room? What kinds of items can be reused from there?

    4.      Sara, what about the electronics in our house? When they break or we don’t need them any more we can recycle those as well, can’t we?

    5.      Where can we get more information?

HistoryChiQ on Women Ruling: Good Queen Bess to President

    in Entertainment

Recently the White House sent out an email asking, 'Do You Know Who Ada Lovelace is?' (Yes. Do you?) & there was buzz around the last press conference of the year focusing only on female journalists -- Eleanor Roosevelt did it first, but who's counting... ? Well, someone is, because everywhere you look, someone is trying to restore balance to our patriarchal society. Feminist.com founder Marianne Schnall asked the leading question in her book What Will It Take to Make a Woman President? and got great answers from scores of luminaries on women & leadership. Feminist icon Gloria Feldt has founded Take the Lead Women, based on her book No Excuses: 9 Ways Women Can Change How We Think about Power . But could Plato have the answer? Professor Anna Caney's new transcription of a previously unpublished work by Henry Howard gives a universe of historical reasons why women should rule. Hey, it worked for Queen Elizabeth I.
