Join Personal Development Coach, Tim Billiter for the very first weekly DIY for Your Soul Podcast. In this introductory podcast, you will learn more about Tim Billiter and what the DIY for Your Soul concept is all about.
Each podcast is approximately 15 minutes long and future episodes will cover a variety of self-help, self-improvement and personal growth topics.
The subject of each weekly DIY for Your Soul Podcast draws from a variety of topics and concepts that aim to assist you in constructing a true sense of well being for yourself. They are meant to be thought provoking, to challenge you in breaking free from old ideas and habits that inhibit your personal growth, and to provide you with tips and tools to foster new beliefs and behaviors that will keep you on a track of constant progression.
DIY for Your Soul is the name of Personal Development Coach, Tim Billiter’s coaching practice that is based on the idea that each of us, at our very core (our soul), is ultimately responsible for creating the life of our dreams and becoming the people we’ve always imagined ourselves being.
DIY simply refers to building, modifying, or repairing something though self-reliance; taking on the tasks oneself vs. having others complete them for us. And since most of us, at least at some point and time, find ourselves building, re-building, modifying or repairing portions of our lives, in essence, each of our lives is the ultimate DIY project.
And as for the Soul, it is not about any specific religious beliefs, spiritual practices or dogma It is referencing the life force that runs through you. It is about energy - the energy that we call life.
From crafts to repairs to gardening, DIY projects for kids is all about making cool stuff and building memories. It's about fun, too. Small activities, choosing colors, and helping plants grow through the seasons shows kids the connections between dreaming and doing and gives them skills they'll use when they're all grown up.
HGTV and Food Network's 'Restaurant Impossible' designer Taniya Nayak checks in with some fun DIY projects for kids, and talks about her early DIY days.
Meg Bourne, Chief Inspiration Officer of Art Feeds, paints us into a cozy corner and talks art with a heart, how Art Feeds helps kids through art projects, and how she's building beauty from nature's wrath. Art Feeds strives to live by the lessons the children teach us, these are: Love Naively. Give Generously. Be Foolishly Compassionate.
Kid DIY is all about fun fixes, awesome activities, and finding the beauty within. Let's make memories happen.
What can you do if your car a gas guzzler? As the price of petroleum continues to rise, many people are converting their cars and motorcycles to electric powered vehicles. Clean transportation enthusiast, Ben Nelson has developed a "Do It Yourself" series to teach people with minimal skills how to build their own electric car. Ben's educational videos make converting your old gas guzzler easy regardless of whether you are a mechanic or your only experience has been with matchbox cars! Ben covers everything you need to know from battery selection, the motor, controller, adapter plate and other minor parts! Ben is a natural born guru! While he had no formal training in electric vehicle design before beginning his first project, he quickly learned how to build EV's (electronic vehicles) through a combination of hands-on work, informal apprenticeships, and enough library books to literally wear out his library card. He has also been a collaborator on the Open Revolt project, which makes low-cost electric vehicle motor controllers available to everyone. In addition to his passion for clean transportation, Ben has also designed and built projects for renewable energy, water conservation, and alternative heating and cooking methods.
