What is it that makes us want to give up? When is it truly appropriate to stay together vs divorce? We are discussing these questions and more on this lively conversation about divorce in America. We will hear from Tiffany Burton-Gordon, a divorcee who will join us to share her powerful story of resilience after divorce. We will also be joined by Lakia Brandenburg, The Wifestyle Coach, life coach Roz Bazile and Roy Chumley, podcast host, who will share insight and expertise on how to do marriage the right way. God is serious about us being loyal to Him with our affections, and Scripture uses the strongest, most graphic language to warn us not to "play".
Let’s equip our BRETHREN to choose God, not suffering, and we can be confident that he will instruct them and counsel them in the way they should go. (Psalm 32:8).
In Mark 10.11-12, Jesus clearly reflected the right of either spouse to initiate a divorce; consistently, the apostle Paul teaches this as well here with added allowance for a separation (v. 10, 13). Legally, as well, both Roman law and Jewish law provided either spouse the ability to initiate a divorce.

I am Priscilla Katerena, a curvy personality located in the Los Angeles area. I began my journey back in 2010 after assisting a close friend of mine on her photo shoots. She inspired me to pursue a career as a curvy model and from then on, the rest is history. I booked a photo shoot with Damien Smith Photography to get a variety of pictures for my portfolio while Melina Maderazo did my makeup. Shortly after, I booked my first modeling assignment with My Black is Beautiful where Jennifer Austin, celebrity stylist, was one of the personalities on set of the style segment.
About the book:
Is your child stuck in the middle of a high-conflict divorce? In Getting Through My Parents’ Divorce, two psychologists and experts in parental alienation offer a fun and engaging workbook to help kids work through stressful or confusing emotions and feel safe and loved—no matter what.
Divorce is never easy. But for kids who have parents in conflict with one another, or where one parent is so hostile that he or she is actively trying to undermine the kids’ relationship with the other parent, divorce can be unbearable. This workbook is designed especially for kids, and includes helpful tips and exercises to help them deal with the negative impact of custody disputes, understand and identify their feelings, learn to cope with stress and other complex emotions, and feel secure.
Written by two leading experts in child psychology, this easy-to-use workbook includes a number of helpful suggestions to guide children though a number of possible scenarios, such as what to do if one parent says mean and untrue things about the other parent; what to do if a parent asks them to keep secrets from another parent; or what to do if one parent attempts to replace the other parent with a new spouse.
If you have or know a child that is dealing with a difficult divorce, this workbook will give them the tools needed to move past loyalty conflicts and the difficult emotions that can arise when parents don’t get along.
