Blacks have spent centuries attempting to measure up to western Christianity's religious standards. Black preachers heralded high moral standards and strict religious observances that kept the idea of "heavenly rewards" ever before the eyes of their members. Has this desire for religious and holy legitmacy and legacy contributed to the black church's current condition of carnality and withdrawal. What role does black gospel music and preachers have in reaffirming the contemporary religious struggle in the black church? Join Pastor Neal for this and other topics of interest
Philosopher and theologian Dr. Steve Katz presents the "Cosmic Christ." This extraterrestrial spiritual teacher came from the highest metaphysical planes bordering the Godhead of Life Energy. It marked a decisive turn in human consciousness and world history. His return has been forecast since his death by Him, and witnesses of his teachings / practice that included viewing Christ's healing and weather control. . Both religion and science are needed to understand his mission as best we can. Clearly, Dr. Wilhelm Reich in his books "The Murder of Christ," and "Contact With Space," thought Christ had special contact with the cosmic energy. The reality of his Father being the Godhead of Cosmic Energy was clearly recognized as a possibility in Reich's "Contact With Space." This is the new paradigm of a creative fusion of theology and science leading to a universal religion (see the work of theologian Hans Kung).. Remember the old science fiction film "The Day the Earth Stood Still" (1951 version). After the human savages killed Klatuu, Gort, his guardian robot, brought him back to the space craft and put him into a cosmic energy tube. Turning on the cosmic energy, it revived him to life. When asked by his human friend how long he would stay resurrected, Klatuu replied: "Only the Great Spirit knows that." As Dr. Wilhelm Reich stated in the report to his "Oranur Experiment": "the boundary between physics and metaphysics dissolved."
In Reformed Theology, there are those who affirm the tenets of The Doctrines of Grace (i.e. Calvinism) in whch the acronymn T.U.L.I.P. (Total Depravity; Unconditional Election; Limited Atonement; Irresistible Grace; Perseverance of the Saints) is described. The last element of TULIP (Perseverance of the Saints) teaches that those who are saved by God are kept by God forever, thus are unable to lose their salvation or fall away from the faith.
What about those who profess to believe in such doctrine, yet fall away or apostatize from the faith? Was their salvation genuine? What are the implications to the teaching regarding eternal security and those who no longer desire to be saved?
Ricky Roldan is our guest discussing this very important issue and answers questions about those who once professed to be Christian, but no longer professes to be.

No matter where you fall on the spectrum, all of us need to strongly consider and dialogue about how we will do ministry in a world that will no longer define marriage and sexuality by traditional terms.
The overall objective of this conversation is NOT to force a change in people's opinions or theologies; the main purpose is to begin the much-needed dialogue on the realities of doing ministry with the LGBT community in mind. Whether you affirm or deny homosexuality theologically, we can all agree all people are worthy of experiencing God's love; and we must admit that the church has traditionally been a very hostile and hypocritical place for LGBT individuals. How do we do ministry today in a way that upholds our biblical convictions (as diverse as they may be), and still demonstrate love to a community (as diverse as it may be)?

Please join us for a conversation about Creativity, Community, and Cultural relevance. We will be engaged with two dynamic guests. The first half of our program, we will interview the talented vocalist Ozara Ode. Ozara has started a Gofundme campaign to take her Nina Simone adaptation to Broadway. After reaching much success in Atlanta with the production “In the Key of Nina” during the summer of 2015, Ozara is on a mission to further honor Ms. Simone’s legacy. We will be talking more with Ozara to find out what she is doing and how we can support her.
The dialogue for the second hour will be driven by Pittsburg raptivist, Jasiri X who has been steadily climbing the rungs of the underground ladder worldwide. Jasiri made major noise with his debut single “Free the Jena6”. Tonight he will enlighten us about Black Liberation Theology and share what else he has in store.
We will contemplate the fate of a center that was designed with the spirit of Comrade Tupac Amaru Shakur in mind. Built to be a hub of Creative Community collaboration and cultural education, it has long been shut down and now the building is for sale. We look into ideas about what happened, why, and what we can do differently to insure that similar efforts flourish. Welcome to the Blaq Hour.
