For more information about Dianne Harman and her books:
Dianne Barker was born with a silver pen in her hand, so to speak. She landed her dream job at 18, writing for the local newspaper while attending college, and wrote her first book at 24. In 1986 her book Twice Pardoned was # 1 on the national Christian best-sellers list. Then her life took an unexpected turn, taking her out of the publishing loop for over 15 years. Today she will share her story—her early success, her long stay in Overwhelm City (she calls this period the “Shrunken Life”) and how she reinvented herself to make a comeback. You don’t want to miss this story!
Dianne Barker is a conference speaker, freelance journalist, radio host, and author of eleven books including the 1986 best-seller Twice Pardoned (life of Harold Morris and first book for Focus on the Family Publishing).
Her new book, I Don’t Chase the Garbage Truck Down the Street in My Bathrobe Anymore! Organizing for the Maximum Life, gives practical strategies to organize space, time, and family chaos while encouraging personal renovation—purging interior garbage (inferiority, low esteem), and submitting fully to Christ, gateway to balance and abundant living.
A graduate of East Tennessee State University, Dianne hosts a weekly program on the Christian station WHCB Radio, Bristol, Tennessee, 91.5 FM, “At the Library” on Saturdays at 3:30 p.m. www.whcbradio.org. Dianne is a member of Advanced Writers and Speakers Association and Christian Authors Network. Dianne’s passion is investing her life in people, encouraging wholehearted surrender to our faithful Lord, who is so worthy of our devotion and praise! www.diannebarker.com

1. Make Yourself Available to Receiving Supernatural Guidance. Let the Lord know you are trusting Him to lead, guide and direct you in any way He chooses, and that you will pursue and take this training seriously as a way to learn to know Him and His ways.
2. Be Prepared! Have a notepad and pen ready, and be ready to give the Lord your attention if He requires it. Don’t worry about how you will respond; the Lord knows and approves of how He created you, so you are free to be yourself.
3. Be Objective. Be quiet internally, and as much as possible physically. Take note of how you feel and what you see, but don’t get distracted by details. What did you hear (whether audibly or internally)? Don’t worry about interpretation yet.
4. Confirm that the supernatural manifestation is from the Lord. For instance, when you wake from a dream or a trance, ask the Lord right away, “Lord, is that you?” Once confirmed, continue observing. If it is not the Lord, determine its source and deal with it accordingly.
5. Ask for the Interpretation! Only the Lord Himself can interpret His message. It is not your responsibility to figure out or discern the meaning.
6. Enjoy His Presence. Remind yourself of your relationship with God by resting in silence with Him.
7. Respond! Be attentive to His direction and guidance, but realize you are moving IN and WITH Him.
8. Follow-through! Just as the Lord sets our feet on a new path, or confirms the direction or choice we are following, the enemy (and well-meaning friends) will follow close on His heels to try to divert you from that path.
9. Back to Business! Supernatural guidance is occurring in each of our lives whether we are aware of it in our consciousness or not.
I'll be chatting with Cerece Walker about her book: Before Anna Nichole: A Mother, A Mistress, A Millionaire & Me: A Lady's Story from Rags to True Riches
She'll be giving away the kindle version of the book through August 18, 2014.

Bishop Donagrant Le’Prist McCluney was granted the gift of life on January 13, 1968 in Shelby, North Carolina. He is the second of three sons born to Bishop John Lee and Missionary Dianne McCluney. Being entrusted to the Hand of the Lord and reared in the nurture and admonition of God’s Holiness, he received the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at the age of seven and the Baptism of the Holy Ghost at the age of nine.
On July 1, 1984, this young Man of God preached his initial sermon, "Give Us a Chance", and served the Presbytery of the Christian Fellowship Church of God for sixteen years until such time that he would be consecrated to Holy Episcopacy. Bishop McCluney was duly consecrated to his Administrative Office in October 2001 under the righteous hand of the Most Reverend Bishop Freddie Bernard Marshall and a college of ten other consecrated Episcopates.
Bishop McCluney attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro; a Masters of Divinity degree in Homiletics and Worship at the Charles Harrison Mason Theological Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia; a Masters of Arts degree in Elementary Education at the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and is presently a PhD student in the Leadership Studies Program at NC A&T.
Having been instrumental in establishing and sustaining several local churches, three Bible schools, two national youth leadership conferences, and seven Pentecostal reformations, Bishop McCluney is happy to serve the Kingdom of God as Associate Presiding Bishop of the Affirming Pentecostal Church, International and founding facilitator of The Progressive Community Collaborative, Incorporated.

Dreams, Visions, Trances & Open Visions These are all terms that describe a few of the ways the Lord communicates to our consciousness through our developing senses. Because we are not used to functioning through these senses, our perception of these experiences mark them as unusual. But as the Lord quickens our senses, and we more readily experience and respond appropriately to the activities in the supernatural realm, there are few limits to the ways the Lord may choose to provide guidance. Because we are becoming confident in our relationship with God, we can ask Him for these experiences, making ourselves available on His terms, being patient but persistent toward those things that He uses to draw us. As with all of our training, we are free to make mistakes as part of the process.
We learn new habits of depending on Him for interpretation, confirmation, etc., remembering that even such supernatural experiences as these can be duplicated by the power of our soul, or the enemy, or by the power of the world (power of suggestion). So though we habitually test these manifestations, we are careful not to restrict the way the Lord chooses to guide us.
It’s not all that important (though it can be interesting and fun!) to delineate the differences between dreams, visions, trances, and open visions. The important thing is that we realize that God’s main goal is in getting our attention, to respond back to Him rather than to rely on our own (or another’s) ability to interpret and apply what is being conveyed. These manifestations are no more significant, they carry no more weight, than any other means the Lord may use, but because He wants us to be able to follow wherever He leads, and because He enjoys sharing His creativity with us, it is appropriate to ask to be trained in all these areas, according to His timing.
