Diabetes is affecting this country in epidemic proportions. If you're one of the 24 million Americans living with diabetes, it is important that you get this condition under control, for it is a leading cause of blindness, kidney failure, heart attack, and amputation. Physicians are quick to prescribe drugs for diabetes which actually increase the risk of heart attack. Join me this week as I discuss Reversing Diabetes with Dr. Julian Whitaker how to reduce the risk and severity of complications through diet, exercise, nutritional supplementation and innovative therapies that are overlooked by conventional medicine. These natural treatments are very effective in reducing and often eliminating the need for drugs in patients with type 2 diabetes. According to Cancer Research UK, 1 in 3 of people will develop cancer of some sort in their lifetime. The cause of most diseases including cancer remains unknown. Treatment is therefore of the symptoms of diseases rather than the causes of the disease itself. Unsurprising, 75% of all visits to the doctor involve symptoms of illness which are based on excessive or chronic stress. Whilst medication helps in the short term, current scientific research indicates that unless chronic stress is addressed in a timely manner, further diseases are inevitably created. Ignoring the psychosocial and emotional aspects that are impacted on the individuals life produce an ever revolving cycle of mental instability that impacts on the person's ability to function within the normal realms of well-being. Therefore the need to take responsibility for our health and well-being has never been so important. In 2011 Patterson nearly lost his life. Almost 150 pounds overweight; he was hospitalized due to complications with diabetes. Realizing he was called by God he knew there was greater work to do. With the support and encouragement of family, his artistry was birthed.
In 2000, Kelli received a prophetic word concerning writing, and in 2001 that she did just that. In March 2009 Kelli was inspired to write a book about teen dating and domestic violence after the incident between young Hollywood’s hottest couple. Through Kelli, God is showing young people what real “love” looks like in her book “You Said You Loved Me”. In 2012 she released her second novel “Church Gossip” and is currently in production with the film version of the book.

Could this be the recipe for deflating the muffin top? A recent study compared three groups—those who ate a reduced-carbohydrate diet, those who combined the diet with strength training and those who combined the diet and strength-training with cardio workouts—and found that a three-tier approach was the most effective strategy to decrease abdominal fat. It's important to note that the exercises you choose and the effort you put into them really matter, says Marta Montenegro, a certified strength and conditioning coach who teaches exercise physiology at Florida International University. Instead of ho-hum treadmill-trotting and sit-ups, she recommends high-intensity workouts, which have been shown to be more effective at reducing the belly fat you can pinch with your hand, as well as the visceral fat that pads internal organs (which has been linked to metabolic disturbances and increased risk for cardiovascular disease and type-2 diabetes).
Montenegro put together this hard-core high-intensity workout based on the latest research, her work with clients and her own experience (that's her in the photos; those abs don't lie).
