The world's deadliest killer, HIV/AIDS, and the Birth Control Pill have been carrying on a secret and deadly "love affair" for decades. While women swallowed their “freedom” with the morning orange juice, studies that should have made global headlines yellowed in medical journals, unknown to the general public. Only doctors learned about the pills deadly affair with HIV/AIDS, and they were too busy writing prescriptions for hormonal contraceptives to talk.
More than 50 medical studies, to date, have investigated the association of hormonal contraceptive use and HIV/AIDS infection. The studies show that hormonal contraceptives—the oral pill and Depo-Provera—increase almost all known risk factors for HIV, from upping a woman's risk of infection, to increasing the replication of the HIV virus, to speeding the debilitating and deadly progression of the disease
There's a birth control drug that is having a drastic impact on women all over the world. Can anyone contextualize rape? Apparently, if you are a proponent of White Privilege Theory, apparently you can. We will be discussing the latest battle in the War on Women today.
Also, TLFR welcomes Elaine Riddick from The Rebbeca Project for Justice back to the program. New details on the class-action lawsuit for women harmed by Depo-Provera have emerged, and news about the emerging global use of Depo-Provera have recently come to light. Elaine will be revealing for us the long-term detriment of Depo use and what has happened in areas of the world like Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
We also welcome Toronto resident Luis Dizon to the show. Canada has its own March for Life and political struggles with legal abortion. We will be exploring more about how abortion is being protested by people of conscience to the north of us, Canadian style.
“In her own words”
When I was 17 year 2009 i started taking the Depo shot. I took it for 4years straight. i didn’t get no periods throughout the 4years. Feb, 2013 i stop taking the Depo. On Feb 15, 2013 morning i woke up. I mean I was bleeding to the point where the whole bathroom floor was full of bleed i had clots coming out. I went to the Hospital to go get checked out. They told me my uterus wall closed and I had fluid in my ovaries, and fluid in my pelvis. My left ovary had way more fluid then the right. That’s what the hospital told me. I needed to get a I needed to get a Hysterectomy. March 13, 2013 I went in to the doctor to get a Hysterectomy. Now I was 17 when I start. 20 when I had a Hysterectomy done. I'm 21. I didn't know anything about no side effects. Now that I stop taking the Depo shot I can’t stand my body. I hurt every day. My bones have got weak. My chest hurts sometimes I can’t even breathe. Also my teeth are cracking. As of today I’m still going through all the pain.
Susana's personal story.
USAID was fully aware that informed consent was not provided to women prior to Depo Provera injections (the Rebecca Project provided details to the DHHS, DOJ, and USAID) and that violates US ethical research IRB procedures and international law. U.S. drug companies and U.S. researchers have conducted nonconsensual and unethical research in Africa and the developing world. Pfizer v. Abdullahi directly confronted the issue. In a July 2009 ruling, a U.S. Court of Appeals found that the prohibition of non-consensual medical experimentation on humans is binding under customary international law, thereby allowing Trovan victims in Nigeria the right to seek relief against Pfizer in U.S. courts. In June 2010, the U.S. Supreme Court rejected Pfizer's appeal after the U.S. Acting Solicitor General, Neal Katyal, submitted his brief urging the court to deny Pfizer's petition.
Melinda and Bill Gates Foundation, UNFPA and USAID have taken advantage of political disorganization in Pakistan to administer Depo Provera to Muslim women; and are collaborating to expand a “self-inject” Depo Provera system in Pakistan. The In Israel, Netanyahu administration moved to act ethically and banned its doctors from renewing all Depo Provera prescriptions without full disclosure and consent to protect African Jews in Israel after the story of mandated Depo Provera injections was exposed in the spring of 2013.
European countries have provided full information about risks for women to consent to use Depo Provera for decades and use of Depo Provera is negligible. All U.S. allies in the Middle-East: Bahrain, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia restrict the use of Depo Provera on their nationals.. India, a permanent target of US population control policy, banned Depo Provera from its social welfare programs in 2012
Gardasil, manufactured by Merck & Co, also known as Silgard was approved in the America on June 8, 2006 by FDA. In 2008, Gardasil vaccine was approved in 41 of U.S. states and 120 other countries. The FDA recommends vaccination before adolescence and potential sexual activity. The British Medical Journal published a new study revealing that Merck & Co. did not test Gardasil for human paillomarvirus HPV vaccine on women’s reproductive systems.
One young woman in Australia found her ovaries were completely unable to recover from the damage done by the vaccine. Her ovaries shut down and early menopause set in. Components of the vaccine, poylsorbate 80 and an amino acid L-histadine are the agents which lead to serious side effects when injected into muscle tissue. The information about the vaccine, obtained by Australian Therpeutic Goods Adminstration (TGA), the equivalent to American Food and Drug Administration (FDA), revealed that Merck never tested it for safety for woman’s ovaries to reproduce
DEPO-PROVERA: DEADLY REPRODUCTIVE VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN, Rebecca Project for Human Rights (June 2013)
Sweden first had Depo Provera testing in Africa in 1982. Over the last thirty years, United States Agency for International Development (USAID), World Health Organization (WHO) and private foundations have failed to respect US law and FDA statutes and regulations by enforcing mandatory information on Depo Provera’s Black Box warnings. Regrettably, Israel used draconian policies to radically reduce the number of Black births using Depo Provera, while willfully disregarding Depo Provera’s dangerous health impacts and this has become foundation of ongoing U.S. domestic and global family-planning strategy for women of color.
Recently I was asked to comment on the use of vaccines in America and around the world. I am familiar with the activities of medical centers "developing" vaccines on the Navajo Reservation in Tuba City, Arizona when I was in medical school and I questioned the ethicalness of giving very young babies the meningitis vaccine. I was scolded for questioning how well the young Navajo women understood the potential risk of injecting infants with the vaccine. I was just learning about blood/brain barrier and it seemed that babies were the most vulnerable.
Since medical school, I have become aware of numerous instances where pharmaceutical companies and federal agencies approach vaccination as a "business" activity rather than a "health promoting" activities. 1967-1978: The largest test on humans of Depo-Provera begins and is conducted for eleven years through the Grady Clinic in Atlanta, Georgia on 14,000 low income women. These “trials” were conducted on women human subjects without being aware of the fact that they were part of an experiment; and, the researchers deliberately did not inform the women participants that Depo Provera had grave side effects. Many women developed cancer and/or died during the trials, but these cases were not reported to the FDA. The director of the study, Robert Hatcher, further violated the law refusing to submit an annual report during the entire study. Record keeping on the clients was sloppy and more than 13,000 women had no follow-up.The African continent has been a theater for unregulated experimentation. Dr. Phillips’ fraudulent Navrongo research is routinely referenced in UN and US documents as valid family-planning policy.
On January 28, 2013, Israel put an end to the unethical use of Depo Provera after admitting that they coerced African women to use Depo Provera without consent and full understanding of harm.
Today, we maintain that if you knew the truth about Black History in America, you would be pro-life!
Elaine Riddick will be joining us again to share recent developments at The Rebecca Project for Justice. Elaine has been hard at work securing justice for those injured by Depo-Provera injections. Plus, we will find out how far the pro-abortion forces are willing to go to undermine life-affirming efforts by pro-life people of conscience. Elaine gives us an inside story you won't want to miss.
