NYT Best Selling Author Denise Swanson on her Latest, DEAD BETWEEN THE LINES

    in Books

New York Times Best Selling Author Denise Swanson joins Murders, Mysteries and Mayhem host Stephen Campbell to discuss DEAD BETWEEN THE LINES, the third book in her Devereaux’s Dime Store Mystery series.

Denise is the author of two different cozy mystery series, her second series, the Scumble River Mysteries is currently at 16 titles, with a 17th scheduled for release in September.

Denise began writing after coming face-to-face with evil. She quickly decided she would rather write about villains than encounter them in her daily life. She was also shocked to discover that getting a book published was nearly as difficult as vanquishing scoundrels.

In this interview we’ll dive pretty deeply into the world of Devereaux Sinclair, spend some time talking about the cozy mystery genre and we get some details on Denise's writing process.

We’ll close the interview with a musical piece written by Denise’s composer husband David Styber called Devereaux’s Blues,

Get Healthy Now, Denise Thomson, How To Start Forgiving?

    in Health

    Recap of last few weeks:

Forgiveness in the Faith based field

Forgiveness in the Criminal Justice field

    Forgiveness in the Medical field

    Forgiveness from the Scientific standpoint

Today's topic: How To Start Forgiving?

    Keep Calm and Let Go

"The past has no power over the present moment." - Eckhart Tolle

    Stop trying and start being.

    Stop trying for a while.

Be in charge of your thoughts and emotions (Be the watcher of your thoughts)

By not judging your thoughts or blaming them on anyone else, and merely watching them, there will be a big shift within you - your sense of self worth.

Love yourself for who you are and where you are in your life right now, right here.

Learn to replace anger, hurt, frustration, vengeance into present love.

The bottom line is that the best revenge is happiness, because nothing drives your adversaries more insane than seeing a fresh smile on your face. (Read Buddha's Brain.)

Let go of the need to firgive every mistake.

Mistakes are the growing pains of wisdom. Most of the time they just need to be accepted, not forgiven.

Feel how your body shifts from feeling hurt and upset to peaceful and loving. (does not mean forgiveness, just realizing where you are)

Don't hold on to false beliefs, let go of what you cannot change. Live the best you can be and do day by day --> no need to forgive.and no regrets.

So, How do we start forgiving? Step by step, letting go of what cannot be changed, turning anger, revenge, hurt into love and enjyoing it.

Let's Talk Kingdom with Catrina-Interview with Recording Artist Jubii-Lee

    in Entertainment

Gwendolyn Denise Lewis was born and raised in Houston Texas. After graduating high school in 1983 she moved to LA to pursue a career in acting. While in LA she met up with her now ex-husband Terry Lewis of which she had met previously in Texas at a Prince concert. In 1984 they moved to Minneapolis Mn and got married. Her daughter Chloe was born that same year. Being married to Terry Lewis gave Gwen great opportunities to sing background vocals for Alexander O'Neal,Janet Jackson and many other secular artist. Gwen even sang background on the theme song of the hit comedy show "In living color". She divorced in 1991,her life began on a downward spiral out of control. Gwen began looking to the world to fill the emptiness she felt inside. This resulted in a string of mental and physical abuse relationships. In 2003 she began seeking and exploring religions. On Easter Sunday 2003 Gwen attended services at Bread of Life church in Minneapolis Mn and gave her life over to the Lord and from there started her new journey of getting to know God personally. Best decision she ever made. In 2004 Gwen had her second child Jazmine. Being a single mom terrified Gwen but she knew with her new relationship with God all she had to do was pray and ask him to see her through it. In 2008 Gwen started to write songs about the love she found in Christ. In 2010 God placed it in her heart to do her first gospel album. Gwen's desire with this album is to bless the lost, abandoned, and seemingly hopeless with Gods love through her music. Even though this has been a tough journey with putting together this album Gwen has never lost faith that Gods purpose and plan for her life will be fulfilled.
