This is part 2 of my interview with Stacey Aaronson, founder of The Book Doctor Is In. In our first interview we talked about how the self-publishing model can help or hurt your book sales. You can hear that interview here.
In part 2, Stacey will discuss why DIY and self-publishing are NOT one and the same, with the goal of helping aspiring authors avoid making critical and costly mistakes on their way to becoming published.
She will also discuss:
What are the biggest ways the traditional publishing model differs from the self-publishing model?
What’s one of the biggest mistakes writers make before they start writing?
What are some of the red flags writers should heed when seeking out independent publishing professionals (editors and designers)?
And much more!

Jim Palmer, AKA The Newsletter Guru is a frequent guest and today I am delighted to welcome him back to Your Partner In Success Radio to talk about the principles in his new book 'Stop Waiting For it to Get Easier - Create Your Dream Business Now!' Jim maintains that successful businesses are created every single day, no matter what the economy or other outside market conditions may be. The truth is that there is never a "perfect time" to start a new business, so why not just start now? Today. Entrepreneurs who move swiftly and boldly from idea into action, delivering value to the marketplace, will ultimately succeed. Jim talks about 2 specific groups. First, he speaks to those people who have long had a dream of starting a business- becoming an entrepreneur, controlling their own destiny... but just waiting for the right time to get started. Second, he will speak to those entrepreneurs and small business owners who have already started but have not yet reached their dreams or goals for the business. Please visit his great Stick Like Glue Radio page. I was a recent guest and it was a great interview!
I recently interviewed J. Massey who is an Active Real Estate Investorpreneur, Author, Speaker, Community Leader, Devoted Father and Husband.
We had so much to talk about that I asked him to return to Your Partner In Success Radio to pick up where we left off.
J. Massey's is a true rags to riches story. In just six years he went from the struggle many people experience as he worked hard to provide for his family in southern California to amassing an impressive portfolio that includes over 300 units of residential and commercial properties as well as private notes and mortgages.
Through a series of life-altering events, including the serious illness of his then-pregnant wife, an accident that left J. with a punctured lung that excluded him from being able to work, and even losing and squatting in their foreclosed family home, J. learned quickly that he had to change his mindset if he wanted to survive and thrive. He immediately took action, immersing himself into intensive real estate investor training. He hasn't looked back and has built a booming investing business, using very little of his own cash or credit.
Click here to listen to our previous interview and here is a really nice blog post that J. wrote about that episode.

Jimmy Burgess has seen financial abundance and lost it all.
He has seen good health and experienced health issues that incapacitated him for months at a time.
He has experienced easy and difficult times in relationships.
Through every setback, he has bounced back stronger and better than he was before. He found seven easy-to-follow steps that helped him and others throughout history to be able to bounce back from life's setbacks. This led to him authoring the book "What Just Happened? How to Bounce Back in Life So You Can Do More, Have More, and Be More"
As Jimmy shared with me during the pre-show interview, he was a millionaire at age 35, lost everything and bounced back from bankruptcy very quickly by starting a new company in an industry that he had no previous experience in.
Jimmy says that the biggest benefit of bouncing back from financial ruin was that it wasn't just about the money. It took him losing everything money could buy in order to appreciate and have all the things that money couldn't buy.
His is an amazing and inspiring story and I hope you will join us in the chat room during the program.
