Modern means of communication has turned the world into a global village, where everyone in the world is our neighbor. Some people are the type of people you wouldn't want as neighbors. You know who they are - loud, ignorant, destructive, disrespectful, out of control. When we think of traveling to enjoy another part of the world and experience the culture, there are some places in the world we would love to be, the people seem interesting, the entertainment enjoyable, the way of life seems comfortable, and we could feel safe. But what does the rest of the world see when they consider traveling to the inner cities of America? The world loves our music and dancing, but what about this image of excessive crime? This week, we'll talk to journalists and image makers who are examining the global impressions of African American culture, and how that affects the economy in the inner cities. Today we'll talk to members CAAAP, Chicago Association of African American Photographers, whose mission is to capture images that define the history and culture of African American people. Our guests are photographer Deleshia Kinney who is working on a new photography book on African American women and beauty of their natural hair, and Curtis Kojo Morrow, artist, photographer and author of the books "What's A Commie Ever Done To Black People?" and "My Sankofa."
This program was recorded before a live studio audience in the Carlton Union Building at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida. On this episode of Friends Talking Faith with The Three Wise Guys we have a conversation with the students of Stetson about faith and the relevance of religion for the Millennial generation in the 21st century. (This episode is presented here with permission.)
The Pew Research Center says: "By some key measures, Americans ages 18 to 29 are considerably less religious than older Americans. Fewer young adults belong to any particular faith community compared to older people today. Also they’re less likely to be religiously affiliated than their parents’ and grandparents’ were, when younger. Fully one fourth of the Millennial generation are unaffiliated with any particular faith group. And more young people say that religion 'isn’t very important in their lives' compared to the elder generation."
The topics for this program were selected by students at Stetson University. These young adults have some “significant” questions for us around the issues of inclusion regarding faith communities and religious authority.

The most controversial figure in adult entertainment presents a no holds barred discussion about the future of the business. Rob's insight is spawned from having grown up around the adult biz, as his father owned several adult bookstores throughout Western New York.
Rob was the owner of Extreme Associates, which was at the time considered an outlaw in the biz because of its edgy content. Such fare is commonplace now.
Rob and his wife Lizzy Borden paid an extreme price for innovating adult, as both spent a year in prison on federal obscenity charges.
Rob also owned XPW - Xtreme Pro Wresting, which was one of the top wrestling organizations in the world, with a weekly national TV show, employing such superstars as Shane Douglas, X-Pac, Sabu and the late Chris Candido. XPW folded in 2003 after Extreme was indicted.
Join Rob and his friends for a lively 2 hours of explicit talk. No topic is off limits. No subject is taboo.
