Tonight on Talking in Circles we discuss all things NASCAR and break down the Charting system in NASCAR as the owners have now become franchises. Who gets a charter and who doesn't and who will have to race their way into the 58th Daytona 500.
Also Brian Vickers has been mentioned as a replacement for Tony Stewart during Speedweeks 2016. We will discuss how we feel about that.
David Gilliland & Reed Sorenson have rides for Speedweeks 2016 as both have found non-chartered rides to drive in and will have to race their way into the Great American Race this weekend.
Also former NASCAR driver Lennie Pond passed away at the age of 75, passing away due to cancer. Pond won one career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race in 1978 at Talladega Superspeedway. We remember him.
Also in the XFINITY Series side of things Bobby Labonte will drive the No. 18 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing at Daytona. JGR announced Wednesday that NOS Energy will sponsor 16 races for the team including 15 with Kyle Busch.
Stanton Barrett will drive for Rick Ware Racing at Daytona along with Scott Lagasse who will compete in the truck series as well. Lagasse will drive the No. 93 Chevrolet in XFINITY and the truck race will be run for NTS Motorsports. No update on Ben Kennedy's future.
On the truck side of things, Reed Sorenson, Austin Theriault, Timmy Hilland Austin Hill will compete in the event at Daytona as loose ends continue to get tied.
Plus we will tell you what we think the Daytona 500 entry list will look like and speculate what the rules may look like for qualifying for the event.

We will of course cover Super Bowl 50 that was in Santa Clara this past Sunday which pitted the AFC Champion Denver Broncos versus the NFC Champion Carolina Panthers. This was pegged as a very intriguing matchup and really didn't disappoint. We saw a great chess match of defensive pawns which bred a defensive King and eventually we crowned the Broncos the 2016 NFL Champions.
We'll revisit key moments and of course talk about what to look for from next years NFL season.
In the 2nd hour we have a special guest, Lion FIghts Lightweight Kickboxing Champion; Ogjen Topic.
This guys life makes us all look boring. From war torn Serbia to the states eventually taking over the Kickboxing world.
So, come hang out with us because like always it'll be a blast
Reading comic books was a big part of my life as I was growing up. Batman and Superman were frequent companions, but my all time favorite comic was MAD Magazine. Comics and comic artists have evolved over the years from The Yellow Kid which was featured in 1895 in the New York World to web based artists like Jim Shaw and his Will Draw for Food creation. There was a time when Jim was living on his own, working three minimum wage jobs just to make ends meet. In Jim’s own words: “I recall early one morning, in the backroom of one of my tedious retail jobs, half-awake, I had a revelation. I did not want to simply exist, to merely pass through this one chance at life, forgotten, known by no one. An unobserved life is not worth living. With that notion playing in my head all day, I quit my jobs, moved back home with my parents, and applied to Brookdale Community College.” Jim had always been interested in comics, manga, video games and all other degrees of nerd paraphernalia, and so he began pursuing a career as a comic artist. He has gone on to work on multiple projects, comics and children’s books, such as Aerin, Will Draw for Food, I am a Superhero, and many more. Jim works online with many other artists, and in June of 2015, he co-founded a comic books publishing house called Blu Trinity Comics with two colleagues. Their goal is to help others get their comic books published, online, in-print, and into the hands of readers across the globe. Brett Favre leads the NFL Hall of Fame class for 2016. Favre was voted in on the first ballot, and becomes the 24th Green Bay Packer to be selected. The Chicago Bears lead all teams with 27 players enshrined. The class of 2016 will enshrine eight people that includes one owner, one coach, two quarterbacks (including Favre), a wide receiver, two offensive lineman, and one defensive player.
The late Ken Stabler joins Favre at the quarterback position. Stabler known as the "Snake" passed away last July from cancer. He led the Oakland Raiders to the Lombardi Trophy in 1977. Owner Edward DeBartolo Jr will also be enshrined for his contributions to the NFL. Tony Dungy became the first African-American to win a Super Bowl. Marvin Harrison still holds the single season reception record of 143 and was a member of Dungy's Super Bowl winning team. Orlando Pace was a giant among men on the offensive line and is joined by the late Dick Stanfel who played for the Detroit Lions. With Stanfel being elected to the Hall of Fame, Packer fans may be shaking their head wondering why the great Jerry Kramer still has not received his validation. Finally, the lone defensive player elected was Kevin Greene. Greene recorded 160 sacks while playing for four teams. He started his career in 1985 with the Los Angeles Rams and ended his 15 year career in Carolina.
Stay awhile and listen to Matt and BFD as they discuss J.J. Watt's Defensive Player of the Year Award, the hurricane of swirling death that is DeMarcus Ware and Von Miller, Peyton Manning kissing the Papa, how Wade Phillips befuddled Carolina, and this Broncos' team legacy.
