But as you have come from far we will not molest you; you may preach, and gain as many as you can to your religion.”

Exemplary Mother of the Great Augustine, You perseveringly pursued your wayward son Not with threats but with prayerful cries to heaven. Intercede for all mothers in our day so that they may learn to draw their children to God. Teach them how to remain close to their children, Even the prodigal sons and daughters who have sadly gone astray. Dear St Monica, troubled wife and mother, many sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime. Yet, you never despaired or lost faith. With confidence, persistence, and profound faith, you prayed daily for the conversion of your beloved husband, Patricius, and your beloved son, Augustine; your prayers were answered. Grant me that same fortitude, patience, and trust in the Lord. Intercede for me, dear St Monica, that God may favorably hear my plea. (mention your intention here) Grant me the grace to accept His Will in all things, through Jesus Christ, our Lord, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.Amen
Catholic Artist and composer Donna Lee Ackerman will appear on Deepertruth giving her testimony of conversion. How she has risen from the world of pride and anger to the compasion of love and forgiveness. Donna has given her life and talent for the upbuilding of the Kingdom. Speaking of her faith, Donna states, "n a nutshell. I was raised Catholic. Left the church after high school. Made a lot of bad choices. I am pretty honest when I share. Had an abortion at age 22. Biggest regrets of my life. Never thought God would ever forgive me. Had a conversion by way of Medjugorje but I don't talk a lot about it because the church hasn't made a final decision yet. Had three failed marriages. Three annulments in the church. No other children. Living an authentic Catholic life for the past 4 years going to daily mass and frequent adoration."
Donna has become a great inspiration to so many through her music and testimony.
Tonight on Deepertruth, I recently had the privilege of meeting the Ibragimova family while standing in the Confessional line.
Actually, waiting for Father to come in to hear Confessions and I met MRS Ibragimov.
I found out that her husband, Farraajon was from a city called Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
I was not too familiar with this Republic, so I did a little research.
Uzbekistan is literally in Central Asia and between 1924 and 1991, it was part of the Soviet Union.
Tonight on Deepertruth: Best selling author and writer, Cynthia Ceray will give her testimony of her Catholic Faith. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 states, “Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, love is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”

Contrast this with the Blessed Virgin Mary who represents chastity, modesty, faithfulness, and love of God. She is the purest of God’s creation. Unlike Ishtar and other female goddesses who were worshiped and called “God the Mother“, the Blessed Virgin Mary is called Mother of God. Not because she is a goddess, she is not, but because Catholics recognize Jesus as Divine. He is truly God and man.
Fr. Jeffrey Hopper is a Catholic Priest who serves in the Archdiocese of Louisville Ky, and I was honored to serve with Fr Hopper at Fort Campbell Ky in the middle 1990's and in Korea in 1998. When I knew Fr. Hopper, at the time he was serving as a Protestant Minister in the United States Army. When he retired from the Army, he converted to the Catholic Faith from the Episcopal church. Tonight, Fr Hopper will give his story live on Deepertruth. What a great blessing this is for me because of my personal involvment, but mostly and really totally, the work of the Holy Spirit. I just was in a position where I had front row seating!
Our Lady of Sorrows: “When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, ‘Woman, behold, your son.’ Then to the disciple, ‘Behold, your mother.’ And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.” John 19:26-27
As the Apostles before them, Sts. Pope Cornelius and Bishop Cyprian received the great commission to take the gospel to to all the nations, giving their lives for the service of those in their care. Their legacy today is remembered in the same Church they so strongly defended.
Kim was one of several thousand Christians who were executed during this time. In 1846, at the age of 25, he was tortured and beheaded near Seoul on the Han River. His last words were:
“"This is my last hour of life, listen to me attentively: if I have held communication with foreigners, it has been for my religion and for my God. It is for Him that I die. My immortal life is on the point of beginning. Become Christians if you wish to be happy after death, because God has eternal chastisements in store for those who have refused to know Him."
Trust: No love and no marriage can survive without this. Trust has more aspects than verbal honesty. Your wife must know you are being emotionally honest with her at all times. She is not a mind reader or clairvoyant and for her to learn to read you accurately over time she must really understand what you really think and feel. While she too must do the same, you need to make sure she feels free to do so. This means listening without judging her when she opens her heart to you, and for her to understand you – she must do the same for you. This is the basis of intimacy, for without feeling able to truly open up to each other and embrace not just what is outside – but what is inside we can never be truly intimate. Her sense of safety and security depend on her knowing that no harm will come to her. She is entrusting this care to you, you must never betray this sacred duty or her ability to trust in you will be lost. This does not always mean you will succeed, nor that you must do it alone – but together as God intended. By both of you acting selflessly for the good of the other party you will only increase that trust, and either party acting selfishly will serve to decrease or eliminate it. This applies to threats to your marriage that are violent, physical, emotional, financial, and otherwise. In short, she must trust unconditionally that you would never harm her nor knowingly allow her to come to harm.
