30th Sunday of Ordinary Time with Fr. Daniel Kelley. Today we are gathered in prayer once again at God’s invitation. It is our choice, Jesus tells us today, whether to pray from our hearts or for show. Let us take the time that we need today to search our hearts and find at least a small part of our inmost selves that we can offer up to God in prayer. This can be a first step, perhaps, in deepening our relationship with the God who loves each of us so profoundly.
A longing for a soulmate is embedded in us. Just looking at the prevelance of dating sites we can feel that ache in others and ourselves. But what IS a soulmate and how do we find ourselves in a relationship with one? In this broadcast, Jillian and Wayne Vriend share the story of how they met and their daily experience of being in a soulmate sacred union together. In this broadcast, Jillian and Wayne talk about how our soulmates are the deepest reflection of ourselves and that they are not found by propping up false versions of us, but doing the hard work of inner healing. By healing the wounded aspects, or parts, of ourselves, we get a clearer feeling of who we authentically are and will attract that energy into our life.
Wayne and Jillian also talk about why unconditional love and lifetime marriage vow commitments serve to deaden love, not enliven it; the tragedy of sexless marriage; and what codependence is in a relationship. They offer what men and woman can do individually to heal their way toward drawing a soulmate or deepening their current experience of one. You can read their love story on The Soulmate Experience website to feel what they experience as sacred romance..
Where will you be when God finds you: a church, a temple, maybe a mosque? How about a rock concert in Mexico? As unlikely as it may seem, this is where Dance of the Electric Hummingbird author Patricia Walker was when divinity presented itself. Even more unlikely, is the person guiding her through these experiences, former Van Halen front man Sammy Hagar. Patricia was then told by a psychic that she and Sammy Hagar and shared a past life, thus deepening the already interesting connection they had made.
Few people envision spiritual enlightenment against the backdrop of celebrities, sex and rock ‘n’ roll, but as Patricia Walker found out some of the greatest things find you when and where you least expect them. She walked into a bar in Mexico looking for a good time, a new experience and a few drinks with her husband. What she ended up finding was her true self and the spirituality that years of searching mainstream religion had not fulfilled.
Patricia Walker lives in northern Colorado with her husband, where she is working on her next book. She maintains her own website at www.bajarockpat.net, as well as composing requested guest posts for several online blogs. She has had several poems published in the following compilations: “Front Range Review” Spring 2002, “Front Range Review” Spring 2005, “My Griefs to Sing” 2007, and “Walking Grief” 2010. Patricia Walker is an active member of Northern Colorado Writers, Colorado Independent Publishers Association, and Word-By-Word writers group.

BIO: Joe Komar:
Joe discovered his yoga practice after reading a Twitter post about how hot yoga can improve wakeboarding skills. With an athletic background that included years of football, weightlifting, and not nearly enough stretching, Joe stepped into the hot room for the first time simply searching for a way to increase his flexibility and become leaner for his favorite hobby. While hot yoga has helped Joe accomplish that original goal of being a better wakeboarder, there is no way he could have known at that first class how much more it would do for him.Over the next year, Joe found himself coming back to his mat more and more frequently, because yoga was not only changing his body physically, but was also helping him to manage stress and bring balance into his life. Taking on the challenge of living the American dream, While attending a spiritual retreat in Bali (an extremely uncharacteristic activity up to that point), Joe unknowingly started down a new path. Joe learned quickly that letting go and riding the wave is where he experienced true happiness, whether in a literal sense (on his wakeboard) or in a metaphorical sense (through his yoga practice and his approach to life in general). This is exactly what he did when he attended the Moksha teacher training in Brazil. Since returning, Joe has found freedom in living the “yoga life”. Once deepening his involvement with the Moksha community by becoming an instructor, Joe’s continued journey took him to Prince Edward Island in Canada, where he taught at Moksha Yoga Charlottetown and now has brought him Moksha Yoga LA. Feeling fortunate and inspired each day, Joe has realized he is living his own version of the American dream more than ever, sharing his love for yoga and life with all of those around him.

BIO: Robiwan McKennobi
If you asked Robi what yoga was 4 years ago he would not have been able to tell you. All that changed when a skydiving accident left him seeking relief for a constant irritating shoulder pain. With the pain in his shoulder disappearing, he found peace and focus in that first class in a life that was devoid of both.
His passion and curiosity with yoga exploded from the beginning and he found himself on a quest to intimately know yoga. This quest lead him to study many different schools of yoga in India, Nepal and Korea. In India he graduated from the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta teacher training course at the Meenakshi ashram in Tamil Nadu. While studying ashtanga in Rishikesh, India, he volunteered at a charity school teaching yoga to children in the slums. This unexpected joy has fueled a great passion to share yoga with children as well as adults.
Upon returning to Canada and deepening his practice in the Moksha lineage of Yoga he traveled to Brazil to become certified in the Moksha School. Later furthering this training to also become certifed in Moksha flow.
Most recently he returned from teaching in Cairo for the past year to spend the summer teaching in LA before returning soon again to Egypt
