There's an interesting line of thought I've been wanting to explore for a while and I'll be having my former Superhero Babylon partner on to discuss it. Many people dismiss Superheroes as authoritarian, but what if they're actually one of the purest examples of Anarchy in fiction. They might just be the ultimate form of decentralized power and checks and balances.
Did you know?
- The IRS claims $1 billion have been left unclaimed by taxpayers who didn’t file a 2011 tax return?
- If you don’t have health insurance you could owe a tax penalty up to 1 percent of household income?
- The IRS recently sent out corrected Form 1095-A’s. Does this affect you?
This tax season may be a challenging time for many families. The single largest change in the tax code in decades, threats of fraud and a fast-approaching April 15 deadline. And uninsured folks filing their taxes this year could experience the biggest wakeup call as the Affordable Care Act starts to affect their returns.
Help is on the way. H&R Block tax expert Kathy Pickering has advice for last-minute filers.
· The penalty for not having health care insurance and how to qualify for an exemption
· Tax mistakes that can cost you big money
· What to do if you can’t meet the April 15 deadline
Kathy Pickering is the executive director of The Tax Institute at H&R Block, the go-to source for objective insights on federal and state tax laws affecting the individual. With more than a decade of experience in tax operations and 25 years in information technology, Pickering is responsible for the strategic direction and management for a team of the nation’s top experts on tax issues.

Institute for Local Self-Reliance – The Gold Standard for Building Community, Strengthening Economies
John Farrell, Director of Democratic Energy
John is widely known as the guru of distributed energy. He is best known for his vivid illustrations of the economic and environmental benefits of local ownership of decentralized renewable energy. His data rich research shows that most states don’t need to look outside their borders to meet their electricity needs. John has also written extensively on the economic advantages democratizing the electricity system and has wowed crowds from Maine to San Francisco to Berlin. And from what my research tells me, he has the gift of being able to translate the complex economics of energy into tools for advancing local energy ownership that everyone can understand. This show will both challenge and inform us all. This show sponsored by The Fairfax Companies.
First up this week, we have CEO Johann Gevers (@johanngevers) and CTO Chris Odom of Monetas. Based on the Open-Transactions project, Monetas is aiming to be the world’s first decentralized system for financial and legal transactions – a digital contracting platform. They’ve seen interest for a variety of different uses/industries including: money remittance, cell phone providers, banks, consumer applications, and virtual worlds. Then returning guest Gordon Haff (@ghaff), a cloud evangelist at Red Hat, stops by to talk about integration of the entire Red Hat portfolio under the Open Hybrid Cloud umbrella. It’s not a single product, but a set of capabilities to address business problems. He also discusses the current state of IaaS and PaaS and how they will evolve in the future.

Dan Johnson is 21 years old, founder of People Against the NDAA (PANDA), and a nationally renowned writer and speaker. He founded PANDA in January 2012, grew it to the largest Anti-NDAA organization in America, pushing over 18 pieces of state and numerous pieces of local anti-NDAA legislation, then decentralized and created the NDAA Resistance, now a movement thousands strong. Since early 2012, 6 cities and one County have banned the NDAA and the laws of war, with nearly one hundred in progress.
Now he has created the Solutions institute.
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of groups, organizations, and institutions who would be more than happy to tell you “what” the problem is. When the inevitable question “but how do I fix it?” comes up, however, these same groups either answer “fund us,” or “go out and protest, and you can make a difference!” neither of which are helpful to anyone who wants to change the world, the nation, or even their own community. The Solutions Institute is a group of dedicated people willing to fill that gap. We are activists, media professionals, IT wizards, networkers, and more, dedicated to helping people change their world.

Tonight's Special Guest Star: David Cohen who will talk BlackCoin!
BlackCoin is a peer-to-peer digital currency with a distributed, decentralized public ledger; that unlike ones held at traditional banks, are viewable and easily audited by the people.
The ability to manage transactions and issue additional BlackCoins is all handled by the network of users utilizing BlackCoin. Because the BlackCoin network is run by the people, holders of BlackCoin receive a 1% yearly interest through a process called staking.

Please join us for a 2hr download of HOPE with Sid Organe, the Global Coordinator of the Ubuntu Liberation Movement. Ubuntu is spreading like wildfire around the globe as an answer and solution to the great challanges we face as a species. Ubuntu, a Swahili word which loosely means "I am because we are", is a new global ethic being embraced by good people worldwide who are coming together and strategizing to boycott, divest and unplug from the Global Control Matrix of the diabolic Babylonian Trifecta of the Vatican (Religion), London (Banking) and Washington DC (Military).
Ubuntu envisions decentralized power worldwide where local communities are self-governed by local Councils of Elders and where sovereign people return to the Lnad, to the simple Laws of Common Sense and Nature and who exist 100% outside of any and all control systems.
Ubuntu is the blueprint for the emancipation of humanity from the controllers who have been the source of all human misery and woe since the dawn of civilization and envisions a future without money and where all society is based upon noble "Contributionism".
Ubuntu will take us into a new era of true freedom from financial tyranny and towards true prosperity on every level of human endeavor.
