There's probably no one earth as close to me as my twin sister, Lynnette. As she would say, she saw me before my mother did. The mysticism surrounding the special relationship twins share is something legendary but there is some truth to it. She is my biggest supporter and my mainstay. The other half of me of which I cannot be without.
I'm so grateful to be able to showcase my twin sister's debut novel tonight on this edition of the Write Stuff. She has been with me through thick and thin, up and down, good times and bad. She used to listen to me tell stories when we were kids and now...it's her turn to tell her stories as God has given them to her.

Malaysian author Yangsze Choo’s 2013 debut novel, The Ghost Bride, was Oprah.com’s Book of the Week and a New York Times bestseller. Set in 1890s colonial Malaya and the elaborate Chinese afterlife, with its ghost cities and burned paper offerings, it’s about a young Chinese woman who receives a marriage proposal from a dead man. One of the most vicious gangsters to ever walk the streets of Newark is free to roam again after serving a 15 year prison sentence. Respected and feared by all, and loved by only a few, the Black Charles Manson was sentenced to death by lethal injection after his conviction for a trail of gruesome murders. The streets were finally able to breathe freely, believing that he would die in prison. His fate was sealed - until he met another Newark legend, the notorious kingpin, the Mayor.
! The Mayor controlled a great percentage of Newark's heroin trade for only five years as a free man, but as a Federal prisoner, he managed to control that trade for over a decade and a half. From behind bars, the Mayor spent over a quarter of a million dollars cash to secure Man- son's freedom. In return for the funding, Manson offered his lifesaver control of his army to use at his disposal. Once the Mayor was finally released, Manson submitted his army over to him as promised.
! With the Mayor's high quality heroin coupled with Manson's army behind him, they had the perfect recipe for success. Manson issued strict orders for his army to provide 24-hour pro- tection over the Mayor. Somehow his orders were disregarded and the Mayor was assassi- nated. How or by whom, Manson has not a clue. For years he's sat in prison praying he could get back on the streets to get revenge. Now, his prayers have been answered.
! As a free man, Manson discovers the code of the streets have changed drastically, and the hit on the Mayor came from within Manson's own camp. A man on a mission; will he track the murderer down and have his revenge, or will he be devoured by the new era of gangsters and meet the same fate as the Mayor?
in Rock Music
September Mourning has just recorded her debut EP. It tells a story in 6 songs, an epic tale of “heartbreak, loss, pain, joy, love, redemption, but most of all, courage…” Produced by Sahaj Ticotin, September Mourning revives the concept of rock star meets superhero. If Marilyn Manson and X-Men's Storm had a kid, it would be September Mourning, who also cites influences as varied as Paramore, Motionless in White, David Bowie, and My Chemical Romance. “For me, the project is a story, a theatrical art piece,” September explains. “Music is the backbone, but for this to work, it has to include the imagery and the narrative all symbiotically linked into the whole. Music taps into your innermost being. There’s something very intimate and personal about it.” The character of September Mourning is a human-reaper hybrid, who feels the need to give some human souls a second chance, and thus toys with Fate. To expound on this narrative, September is working with iconic comic book artist Marc Silvestri, who started out on the original X-Men comics and went on to form Top Cow Productions (Witchblade, The Darkness). Together, they are putting together the story of September Mourning in graphic form, to accompany, and enhance the musical message. Having toured with Marilyn Manson, September Mourning has already built up an impressive fan base, which she calls her “Children of Fate,” constantly encouraging them to have “the courage to embrace their passion… to allow yourself to follow your heart and not be a slave to your fears. To know that the only boundaries that exist in our lives are the ones we allow.” Be sure to pick up a copy of their amazing EP titled 'Volume I' featuring the hit single 'Eye Of The Storm.' Kathy Porter grew up in Endicott, New York, the birthplace of IBM and only a short distance from where one of her favorite TV series creators, Rod Serling, was raised. Kathy's lifelong interest in science fiction ignited when her father, a science teacher, showed her craters on the moon and taught her about the constellations. She grew up watching science fiction movies and TV shows. Ray Bradbury's Martian Chronicles was her first delve into a science fiction novel, and she has been hooked ever since.
"I think I was born telling stories," Kathy explained during a recent interview. "As second to the oldest of seven children, the girls all slept in one bedroom. I loved making up bedtime stories with an eerie edge to frighten my sisters: tales about fairies, leprechauns, and aliens."
The 411 Ground and Pound expert panel is back to look at UFC Fight Night 79. How did the UFC's debut in South Korea go as a whole, what might the future hold for former lightweight champion Benson Henderson, and a look at how the month of November played out for the UFC.
Join RevKess and Kalisara as we bring back one of our all time favorite authors and guests, M.R. Sellars.
From Sellars' website: A member of the ITW (International Thriller Writers), M. R. Sellars is a relatively unassuming homebody who, in his own words, “tells pretty lies for a living.” While he had several short stories appear in minor publications, it wasn’t until 2000 that his first full-length novel, Harm None: A Rowan Gant Investigation, hit bookstore shelves, officially launching the acclaimed paranormal thriller series and its associated spinoff.
When last we spoke with our intrepid writer, he had just begun the journey into the Constance Mandalay Novels. Now, we get to find out how his writing is going today, and what he does in his spare time. We will be talking about writing, book tours, homebrew adventures, and much, much more.
