NFL Preview: Week 1 with Eric Snyder on the John Daly Show

    in News

20150910 NFL Week 1 Preview Eric Snyder

    New allegations against the Pats.

Last players cut – and where will some of them go.

    Need our Tebow update

A look at all the games and how they affect your fantasy world.

    Our final Super Bowl predictions

It is Thursday September 10, 2015 – the first week of the NFL season.

With me as always is Eric Snyder, my football expert.  He is the author of a book on the Raiders and Raider Nation.

You can also hear him on the Power Hour on Fox Sports Radio 1340 in Vegas.

    Boychic, welcome.

More allegations re-surfacing against the Patriots. ESPN’s Outside The Lines aired an investigation that said the Spygate was much worse.  The Pats had allegedly shot more videos of other teams than was previously mentioned.  Many of those videos were destroyed with the NFL’s OK.  And the report says the recent Deflategate punishment was payback for letting the Pats off the hook for spygate.  The Pats denied all of this.  Boychic, what are you hearing?

Let’s talk about some of the cuts made by teams.  To me it was interesting how many Running Backs got the ax.  This is definitely a passing league now?

    Where is Tebow going?

Let’s go over some key games for your fantasy sports.

Give me players you would pick for this week?

Now what if you are in a last man standing pool, what team do you pick?

Week 4 NFL Preview: Cards best team; Dolphins Drowning; Ravens finally win?

    in News

    We have your fantasy picks.

We look at some 3-0 teams.  Are they for real?

And is the NFL becoming like Major League Baseball and the trade deadline?

Eric Snyder, our NFL expert.  He is the author of a book on the Raiders and Raider Nation.  You can also hear him on the Power Hour on Fox Sports Radio 1340 in Vegas.

So, let’s begin with tonight’s Thursday night tilt.  Ravens vs. Steelers in Pittsburgh.  Ravens could go 0-4.  But the Steelers lose Big Ben for at least 4 weeks with a knee injury.  I got the Ravens in this one over Michael Vick and the Steel Curtain.

Jets and Dolphins play across the pond early Sunday morning.  It’s a confusing time and a confusing game.  Jets gave the Eagles their first win last week.  I don’t know if Eagles were good or Jets sucked.  And the Dolphins get beached by the Bills in a trouncing last week.  Lots of talk of Joe Philbin, their head coach, may be gone soon.  I got the Jets.

Giants go to Buffalo.  I think the Giants have turned the corner.  But I think the Bills are real – if Rex would stop obsessing over Belichick and the Pats.  I got the Bills.

Raiders are 2-1 at the Bears.  What a gift for Oakland fans.  Although their Defense was a bit suspect vs. the Browns, I still love their offense.  And Bears are getting less talented.  I got Raiders.

Let’s touch on something here with the Bears.  They are acting like a baseball team at the trade deadline.  They trade Jared Allen.  Now there is talk they may dump Matt Forte in a trade.  Is the NFL getting like MLB in this way?

    NFL Week 2 Preview

    in Football

    Week 2 is here.

In fact, the Thursday game is in the books.

We’ll discuss that – and the upcoming games -- along with your fantasy picks.

And we will dive into what last week meant, because it was a doozy of an opening week.

With me -- as always -- is my expert -- Eric Snyder.  He is the author of a book on the Raiders and Raider Nation.  You can also hear him on the Power Hour on Fox Sports Radio 1340 in Vegas.

    Broncos-Chiefs first.

Let’s talk about the 4 big takeaways from last week.

Injuries. Kuechly out with concussion.  Dez with foot surgery.  And Suggs gone with an Achilles.  It seems that injury reports led the NFL news.  Overblown?  Media looking for something?

The Raiders were more horrible than we can imagine.

49ers D was superb or Adrian Peterson was running in quick sand.  Boy were we wrong on this one.

Marcus Mariota had the greatest rookie opening day – no make that opening half – in the history of the game.

    New England to Buffalo.

    San Diego at Cincinnati.

    Dallas at Philly.

    Seattle at Green Bay.
