  • Pastor Bill Parker Author of "Are you Saved? Are you Sure?"

    in Christianity

Greetings to all God's people, I pray blessings over you and your families. My guest tonight is a Pastor who has written a book that we all at one time has asked this same exact question Are you Saved, and Are you Sure?

Pastor Bill Parker was convinced of his salvation – at least until he came to realize he didn’t truly understand the biblical definition of salvation at all.

Parker decided to embark on a serious examination of the Bible’s words on the subject. His new book, “What Is Salvation?” is the result of over 30 years of study – a deep dive into the true significance of what it means to be saved.

“This book gets to the very basic question – ‘Am I, are you, truly saved at all?’” Parker said. “It forces us not simply to live what we think is a ‘Christian’ life, but to examine ourselves.”

Parker was motivated to pin down the reality of salvation after realizing how many Christians held contrasting opinions on the subject. He believes the idea of salvation is one of the most crucial tenets of Christianity.

“There is nothing more relevant to us as individuals than coming to understand matters of life, death, final judgment, and eternity,” Parker said. “Our understanding of salvation determines how we relate to other individuals, other cultures, and other religions.”

5 Things I've Learned About Being a Widow

    in Women

In this episode of DivaTalkRadio, I will share the 5 things I've learned about being a widow. On March 19 of this year (2015), my darling and most loving husband died in my arms after battling liver cancer. While I thought I was prepared, the realization of his death put me in a total tailspin. From personally witnessing what the body goes through as it is dying, the shutting down of organs, the color changes of the skin, the smell...smell of death and dying; to feeling alone, afraid, panicking, and losing hope of growing old together. The experience was hard and continues to be hard today.

Through my faith and close friends, I'm slowly walking in GRACE and learning about myself everyday. I'm learning that there are days that I feel on top of the world, then other days that I'm paralyzed and not wanting to get out of bed. However, through it all, I am a survivor.

From this episode, my desire is that you will experience HOPE in that no matter what obstacles you are facing that you, too, will become an OVERCOMER!

    Be sure to join me!

    xoxo
