Rep Harrington Statement Against the Death Penalty
This is a debate on the death penalty with Christoper Hitchens and Jesse Jackson (to abolish the death penalty) and 2 other guys (to murder more people even if they are innocent)) Tomorrow night I will do my talking.
On this week's show, which airs Sunday, October 5th, at 7:00 PM, E.S.T., we will discuss what has always been a contreversial topic; The Death Penalty. But with a twist... Should all Pedephiles be sentenced to death? Would that solve the problem and protect our children?
Get ready, because this is a HEATED topic! It raises many philosophical questions about who we want to be as a society and all of you are invited to share your opinions. Be prepared to be educated, enlightened and to possibly have your views changed, one way or the other.
The 'Let's Change the WORLD' Weekly Talk Radio Show is your opportunity, as a regular, everyday, ordinary person, to have your voice heard. Agreement is never required on our show; but courtesy and respect are, so there is never any reason to be shy or silent.

No single punishment has garnered as dicussion (pro and con) as the "the Death Penalty".
CIvic organizations, the ACLU, State Supreme Courts, the Supreme Court of the United States of America, religious organizations...no one!
Over the past few weeks the death penaty debate has (figuratively speaking) risen from the dead. Recent "mishaps" during executions have once again raised the issues of "cruel and unreasonable punishment". What can be done to make taking another person's life more humane? Should we have the death penalty at all?
Join me at 7AM-8:30AM EST as we gather In the Pickle Barrel for this discussion that could turn into a debate.
Several events in recent months in the United States have raised the question of whether or not the death penalty should continue to be allowed as a form of punishment in America. Some states have said that it is becoming more difficult to obtain the drugs used in lethal injection. In Arizona, Oklahoma, and Ohio, there have been 'botched' executions -- where the person sentenced to die was not killed in short order according to procedure. These cases garnered a lot of media attention and renewed calls for the death penalty to be abolished. There have also been cases where a person on death row has been found innocent of the crime they were put there for. In fact, a recent study determined that at least 4 percent of all people sentenced to death are actually innocent.
Currently, there are over 3,000 people on death row in the United States. Can you imagine what it is like sitting on death row? Waking up every day in a cell knowing that each minute that passes puts you closer to the time when your life will be terminated by a lethal injection or an electric shock? Can you imagine living every day with a countdown ticking in your mind?
You might shudder at the thought of that kind of existence. However, every person born into this world is sentenced to die. We are all under a death penalty. The Bible says in Hebrews 9:27, "It is appointed unto men once to die." Whether you want to accept it or not, your life -- and the life of every person alive -- is slowly winding down to a point of termination.

Marc Hyden with Conservatives Concerned About the Death Penalty (CCATDP) joins Joe to discuss the controversial issue of the death penalty. Is it valid? Necessary? Foolproof?
Have you had your healthy dose of reality lately?
There are always at least two sides to every story. Have you ever wondered how someone, who saw the same thing you did, walked away telling a vastly different story? Which version was correct? Which one was the REAL story? Actually, both are! It’s just a matter of perspective.
Joe takes the issues… especially the controversial issues (politics, prejudice, religion, illegal immigration)… and brings in people from different sides to share their viewpoint. This is definitely not a fluff piece. And while no one is attacked, the questions are hard-hitting.
But the conversation is always respectful and you’re sure to learn something new, even if you don’t agree!
If you’ve always wondered how the “other side” thinks and how they’ve arrived at their “stand”, then this is the show for you!
It’s not the right side, it’s not the wrong side, but the REAL side of the issues!
Tonight On Crush Radio:
