Two Tickets To Paradise
**RESCHEDULED FROM LAST MONTH
Long Island native D.B. Sweeney attended both Tulane and New York University. Upon his graduation he was immediately cast in the Broadway revival of "The Caine Mutiny Court Martial." He went on to guest-star stints on such TV series as "The Edge of Night" and "Spencer: For Hire" before entering movies, where he scored with the critics for his portrayal of Jackie Willow, an idealistic, gung-ho Vietnam enlistee in Francis Ford Coppola's "Gardens of Stone".
While he has garnered several noteworthy screen assignments (including the starring role of a nasty hockey player in "The Cutting Edge," with Moira Kelly), D.B. Sweeney is best remembered for his even-keel portrayal of the tragic Shoeless Joe Jackson in "Eight Men Out." He looked like a natural on the ball field, because Sweeney had once actually played minor league baseball with the Kenosha Twins, hanging up his spikes after a knee injury. In addition to his film roles, Sweeney has continued working on television. He played Dish Boggett in the miniseries "Lonesome Dove," going on to appear in "Once and Again," "Life As We Know It," "Jericho," "Crash," "24," and currently in "Universal Dead."
His "Two Tickets To Paradise," which he wrote, produced, directed, and stars in, was released on DVD September 14th. **Free copies of the DVD to a few live listeners who play DB Sweeney trivia!

We have a lot to talk about tonight. A lot of recruiting news. Should there be an early signing period and the ability to send in your LOI at an earlier time if you are completely sure of your commitment. And, we will talk to Chad Wilson about his new camp All Eyes DB.
Among the 49 current and former UM athletes going through graduation ceremonies last week was Chad Wilson.
Nothing odd about that except that Wilson received his bachelor’s degree in business management a few days shy of turning 39.
Before returning to school last year, Wilson last attended a class at UM in 1995. Since then, Wilson had started a family, opened a small business and gotten into coaching.“Nothing like being dressed up in your cap and gown with gray hair sitting next to some 22-year-old,” said Wilson, a cornerback from 1992-94 under the Dennis Erickson-coached Hurricane
Wilson said. “I have three kids, I’m a dad and I’m a husband, I have a business and I’m also a football coach. It was very difficult for me to juggle those things. But Wilson thought it was well
