Author David Bianchi Explains Why He Wrote BLUE CHIP KIDS, What Every Child and Parent Should Know About Money, Investing and the Stock Market
It's not surprising that most teens know more about social media than they do about basic financial skills. On April 1st, we have a special interview with a father who was frustrated by the lack of "entertaining" financial teaching materials for his 13-year-old son. That's why attorney and investor David W. Bianchi wrote:BLUE CHIP KIDS: What Every Child and Parent Should Know About Money, Investing, and the Stock Market. His new book demystifies the basic principles about money matters and provides a much-needed introduction for children (and their parents) to the financial world around them.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN ABOUT BLUE CHIP KIDS:
Paying for things (checking accounts, credit and debit cards & electronic bill pay)
Understanding currencies, the Euro, Bitcoins and exchange rates
Budgeting and debt, financial statements and net worth
How to teach your kids about dividends, yields, puts and calls
The basics of buying and selling stocks
Bianchi is a Miami, Fla., attorney who is the former chairman of GnuBIO Inc., a DNA sequencing start-up, a board member of Affomix Corporation, an antibody start-up and vice-chair of Florida Savings Bank. For more info, go to www.bluechipkids.com.

FEATURED INTERVIEW: ANTHONY TULLO
Oakville, Ontario's ANTHONY TULLO is an accomplished actor/producer/screenwriter and is now adding 'Country artist' to that list of credits.
“I always wanted to make music. I was a big fan of Bryan Adams and that gritty vocal style and great songs. But the more I thought about the stronger I felt the lure of country music with a rock edge. I hooked up with some talented and well connected folks and my new album Switching Tracks is the result.”
Anthony has starred or co-starred in television and film projects such as “Liberty Street”, “Mutant X”, “The Relic Hunter”, and “Out There with Melissa DiMarco.” He wrote a psychological thriller screenplay called “A Secret Cross” in 2011. “A Secret Cross” got the attention of social media distributor Linda Nelson at Nelson Madison Films in Los Angeles and also won the International Award of Excellence at the Los Angeles Movie Awards in 2012. It was also selected to be a part of the Moving Images Film Festival in Toronto and won Best Independent Feature Film.

She's not Billie, not Judy, not Jennifer, not Carmen, not Nancy, it's Cynthia Holiday!
Cynthia Holiday is a real crowd pleaser and her renditions of straight-ahead jazz, blues and pop standards are full of swing, improvisation and soul. Clearly, singing live before an audience is where she feels most comfortable.
Kevin Mahogany says, "I met Cynthia many years ago when I used to frequent various jam sessions in Harlem clubs. I was struck by her ability to quickly command the stage. Cynthia has fantastic stage presence and it's time for her music to be heard."
Cynthia says "I love the up-and-close feeling of performing in small, intimate venues like SMOKE or Showmans Jazz Club in NYC. I also enjoy the thrill of performing for an audience of 10,000 + people at outdoor events like the Harlem Jazz & Blues Festival or Hartford Jazz Festival." Following her performance, the Hartford Courier's music review said of Cynthia "She may have been unfamiliar to the audience, but Holiday quickly won over the crowd with her blues-soaked swing and charming banter."
Since the 2008 release of her debut album, All The Way, on the Miles High Records Label, Cynthia Holiday has made new fans and friends in the US and internationally. Most recently she served as a judge in the 2013 Asian Dreams Jazz Vocal Competition followed by a performance with the TS Monk Septet in Osaka, Japan.
Cynthia's gifted vocals and natural inclination for jazz is attributed to her upbringing in Newark, New Jersey where music filled her home on any given day. Her stepfather, trumpeter Calvin Hughes was a band leader and performed with such jazz greats as Count Basie, Frank Foster, Clark Terry, Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis, and Big Maybelle.
