What are your thoughts about the reaction, to the tragedy in Paris?

    in Education

In wake of the tragedy that took place in Paris last week, I've heard a multitude of viewpoints about this. It has become a "the dead people of my country lives are more important than the dead people of your country" debate. There are people saying that we should not be so concerned about what's going on over there, because we have so many people of color suffering from atrocities everyday, and no one is coming together to stop that. Some are saying that it's a strategic distration tactic, to keep people attention off of things that matter. Some are saying, due to the violent and oppressive nature of France, and Blacks, historically, that we shouldn't be concerned about them. Some have said that, because they support Paris, doesn't mean that they've forgotten other places. Others are very compassionate, and sympathetic, to the point of updating their social media profiles with the French Flag to show solidarity. What are your thoughts about how people are reacting? Why the backlash, for acknowledging people who lost their lives?

Tune in tonight, and join the dialogue. "Darryel's Daily Dialogue.....where positive words, manifest positive action."
