    in Relationships

HOST: David Glover, The Controversial Counselor

    TITLE: "So Annoying"

    PRODUCER: Lady Jaz

Patina was growing increasingly annoyed with the antics of Clinton's mother Shirley.
Patina has been with Clinton 2 years and they are engaged to be married in 6 months.
Well every family function Clinton has.... his mother keeps inviting Ramona to the events and like clockwork she shows up.  And although Clinton has a child by Ramona , Petina doesn't understand why its necessary for Ramona to show up.......... considering she is married.
Patina has discussed this with Clinton numerous times but nothing ever changes.
What Shirley says is "Ramona will always be a part of our family I have nothing against her", "she is the mother of my only granddaughter."
"If Patina does not like it, she doesn't have to come she's not pulling any rank around here".
How do we rectify this annoying situation and who should get the blame for this mess?

Talk to literary agent, Jeanie L oiacono, and author, James Washburn

    in Spirituality

A facilitator of dreams, Jeanie Loiacono represents over sixty authors. Her forte is mystery, romance, thrillers, historical/military/southern fiction, and all quality fiction/nonfiction. Her passion is to see her authors succeed.”I am a facilitator of dreams.”

“There is nothing more rewarding than to hold one of my author’s books and know I helped bring it to fruition. I am so blessed and privileged to be able to work with some of the most talented writers in the world.

James Washburn was born and raised in rural Wisconsin, initiating an intimate rapport with the natural environment and life in the North Country. Drawing from his connections to native North American Indian and Inuit people, as well as a deep personal spiritual history in traditional Christianity, he weaves a story that transcends ethnicity and culture. He speaks to the universal desires of the human heart with simplicity and passion.

“Life is too important to spend it making a living” – has been Washburn’s mantra since youth. Choosing a three-decade career in education gave him time for extensive travel and experience within many of the most remote corners of North America. His appreciation for solitude and a self-reliant nature, however, belie his enthusiasm to promote an understanding of humanity’s interdependence and the unity of all people. Washburn’s education includes degrees in geography, health, and learning resources along with extensive scholarly study in historical theology and psychology. He is also an able photographer and experienced speaker. His current communion with Mother Earth has been a complete hike of the approximate 1,200 mile long Ice Age trail.

11/30/15 TOPIC: GOVERNANCE for IMB's with Andy Schell a/k/a "The Profit Doctor"

    in Finance

On last week's podcast, ANDY SCHELL a/k/a "The Profit Doctor" gave our listeners an update from the MBA's Accounting and Finance Conference that took place the week before in New Orleans.  One of the topics that Andy raised had to do with "Governance" for independent mortgage bankers (IMB's).  Because a significant number of our listeners either are an IMB or work for an IMB, we had a significant amount of feedback and requests for additional information.  For this reason, I have asked Andy to return as the Hot Topic guest to discuss this important topic.  Here are some of the questions we will be discussing and Andy will be answering.

What is the purpose of Corporate Governance?
What does the CFPB require for Governance?
How does an Independent Mortgage Bank address this requirement?
Why do they call it a Compliance Management System?
What about smaller companies, are they required to comply with these rules?

This is an important topic which you will want to tune in and listen too.  I would encourage you to tell othera about it as well.

David Lykken, Host and Moderator of the "Lykken On Lending" program.

Coaches' Corner Cabaret Series with guest Sally Darling

    in Business

Next up in my Cabaret Performers Series is Sally Darling.  Sally Darling's background in theater and related areas is rich and varied:  actress, director, coach, narrator, cabaret performer.  Her first professional role as an actress was 'Anna' in "The King and I" with Leonard Graves.  (As Yul Brynner’s understudy, Graves played the King over a thousand times on Broadway.)  She has since performed with Barry Manilow, James MacArthur, David Carradine, Katharine Houghton, Sarah Rice, Hal Linden......  She has staged operas, narrated with symphony orchestras, and directed everything from Thurber to Shakespeare.  In the 70s she created and staged three revues of the music of Noël Coward and Cole Porter, then created a fourth for the Theater Guild which she tailored for Patricia Morrison, Larry Kert, Dick Shawn and Tony Tanner.   As a narrator for The Talking Book program of The Library of Congress and for Recorded Books, Sally has over 250 fiction and non-fiction books on tape, including "To Kill a Mockingbird" for Recorded Books, for which she was chosen over more than 100 applicants.  She has won awards for her compelling voice and her unmatched interpretive skills.

Sally returns to Don't Tell Mama with “Perspectives”, the latest in her acclaimed signature series of themed programs.  She will be accompanied as usual by her Musical Director, the extraordinary Matthew Martin Ward.  The series began with "Choices", then it examined "The Way We Are" before exploring "Matters of the Heart".  In "Perspectives" she invites us through songs and text to be aware of how we see things, how each of us has a particular, individual point of view which determines what we receive.
