    Guest: David Randle

    in Culture

Jim and Jennifer are excited to talk with David Randle. David is a musician extraordinaire. In this late teens he was already playing concert dates with Cream, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Steppenwolf, Buffalo Springfield, Eric Burdon & The Animals, The Byrds, and many others. Fascinated by the compositional elements of music, David  studied with two of southern California’s most prominent classical composers. He developed a signature writing style with an ever present weaving of interesting guitar work through his backdrops. After leaving active playing to own a very successful musical instrument store, get married and raise a daughter, the creative call was too great to resist and David began teaching developing artists how to perfect their writing styles while using his abilities to both arrange and produce their music. He began doing a small amount of live playing again, which put him in perfect position to receive “the call.” One day a singer named Rebeca called him inquiring about them working together and she had such an amazing voice and gift for melody writing that the answer was obvious. And they became Rebeca and David: http://www.rebecaanddavid.com/

Spirit Travels Radio - David Oman

    in Paranormal

DAVID OMAN (Producer/Creator/Co-Writer) A native of Los Angeles, Oman has been intrigued by the paranormal from his early childhood and has been curious about the Spirit World ever since. In 1999 Oman started helping his father build the house on Cielo Drive, just down the drive from the infamous Sharon Tate Murders aka the Manson Murders – after 2 years of living in the house he created a story based upon his experiences in the home with the activity, titled House at the End of the Drive. He self financed the movie and shot it on location at his home and brought his story to life. Since he moved into the house the activity has been quite apparent so much so that the Oman house has been on seven paranormal reality shows, Ghost Hunters, Dead Famous Live, Searching for Satan, My Ghost Story, in July 2013 he was on History Channel 2 show, Haunted History and SyFy's, Paranormal Witness. February 15th 2014 the season 9 premiere episode of Ghost Adventures aired and it was the highest rated episode to date, it dealt with the investigation at the Oman house. Recently David was on Ghost Adventures After Shocks on March 28 2015. He has also been featured on Larry King Live, EXTRA and TMZ. Timmon's Brothers Paul Revere and the Raiders: Musical Revolution – Part I

    in Music

Paul Revere and the Raiders: An American Musical Revolution – Part I (1961- 1967 ‘The Classic Years’ ”)

Labeled by Paul Shaffer of The David Letterman Show as “the greatest show band of all time,” Paul Revere and the Raiders became the vanguard of America’s response to the British Invasion with one of the most exciting live shows in the business. Their hits are now seen as bold, unpretentious pieces of '60s rock & roll with a defiant, punk edge, which would become the foundation for the development of punk rock. Although they experienced disappointment when they saw another version of “Louie, Louie” become a national hit, they bounced back to sell records in numbers second only to the Beatles and the Rolling Stones during their three biggest years (1966-1969) while garnering more TV appearances than any other rock ‘n’ roll band from 1965- 1968. Tonight, in Part I, we focus on the years when a band with a Northwest U.S.A. origin grew so highly in popularity that each member’s charm and fame would rival the Beatles with their own fan clubs and constant appearances in every teen magazine.

Also NASCAR Whelen Modified Tommy Barrett, Jr was arrested and charged with a DUI. That led his Our Motorsports team to suspend him from the race at Stafford Speedway this weekend. Was this the right move by the team? Or another Kurt Busch situation.
