Dating in this Digital Age can sometimes feel so cumbersome. It’s just down right inconvenient. We don’t have time to mingle and even when we are mingling we are more obsessed with what is happening on the web than having a real interaction with people in our physical space.
The world we live in today is all about convenience. If I can’t get it when I want/need and customize it how I want it, most of us are just not interested. This ideology is truer for those of us that live in big cities and work 9-7 jobs . You spend most of your time at work and pursing our careers. When do you have time to grab a drink and ask someone how was their day? or better yet, even care? Frankly we have enough going on in our lives already.
This is why there it is no surprise that online dating has become one of the most popular and secretive past times for single young adults. There are thousands of sites all over the place both free and paid for all lifestyles and preferences. It seems like now online dating/hookups has become the new way of life.
Don’t get it misconstrued. Online dating is not a new phenom. I remember the days of dial up on AOL when that random person would hit you up with “A/S/L?”. Today it is not uncommon to hear someone say that they met or even married someone that they met online whether it be from a dating site or social media platform like Facebook or Instagram; hence the term “sliding in the someone’s DM’s”.

After Thanksgiving, football season heats up. College football is heading into playoff mode, while teams in the NFL position themselves for a playoff run. As college football winds down, it is time to start talking about the Heisman Trophy. The top running back is Derrick Henry, from Alabama. He has rushed for 1,797 yards and 22 touchdowns while leading Alabama to a 11-1 record. The quarterback class is not full of superstar names. Deshaun Watson, of Clemson, could be the front-runner of the quarterbacks. The Sophomore has thrown for 3,223 yards and 27 touchdowns. He has led Clemson to a perfect 12-0 record. Early expert picks, on ESPN, have Henry taking 9 of the 10 first place votes and running away with the award.
They will not be receiving style points, but the Washington Redskins have quietly jumped into first place. The NFC East is a mess, and the Redskins are taking advantage. After beating the New York Giants 20-14, they own the tie-breaker and have a one game lead over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Did Brock Osweiler end Petyon Mannings career? Osweiler did what no other quarterback could do this year. He beat the New England Patriots. The win gives the Broncos a 9-2 record, and puts them in position to receive a first round bye. They have a comfortable three game lead over the Kansas Chiefs, who have won five games in a row. The Patriots lost the game, and thought they lost Rob Gronkowski for the year. However, tests reveal that he only has a knee bruise with no tears. The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 39-30 to vault into the second NFC wildcard spot. The Steelers fall into a four way tie, at 6-5, for the AFC wildcard. The Chiefs own the tiebreaker and would be the number one wildcard, and the Houston Texans would slide into the second wildcard, after winning four games in a row.
Bruce Fessier writes for The Desert Sun, "For more than 50 years, Greer was a reporter, editor, talk show hostess and publisher in multiple desert media. She started as an interviewer in Los Angeles back in the days when interviews were scripted for the questioner and the subject. She began covering Coachella Valley events for the trade publication, Variety, in 1961 and most recently served as society editor for Palm Springs Life magazine."
Monday, November 30, 2015, Gloria's friends, family and fans packed the largest auditorium at The Camelot Theatres in Palm Springs, California for a celebration of her life, as presented in full in this podcast. For Bruce Fessier's complete story, click here.
I don't think anyone really cares that Charlie Sheen has HIV. His behavior while infected is what has people in an uproar. However, -sad to say- Charlie Sheen is no different than the countless other HIV positive individuals who fail to disclose prior to sex. Being that HIV still has a polarizing stigma associated with it can we blame people for not disclosing?
Would YOU disclose if you had it?
Do YOU know your status?
Do YOU know the status of your partners?
Have YOU ever had unsafe sex?
This episode is going to discuss why HIV is still a raging epidemic amidst all the methods of prevention. We will also exchange about what needs to be done to get communities (of color) more involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
Wow! It's hard to believe that we've been on the air for one year! Spaced Out Radio was created to give the "experiencer" a place to listen and learn from the best guests in the business. Throughout the year, we have had a chance to talk with many individuals who are professionals in their fields, come on the air and tell us incredible stories from the Paranormal, Supernatural, Cryptozoological, Extraterrestrial, UFOlogical and so much more.
After Dave Scott broadcasted seven days a week for the first six weeks of the program, James Tyson was added to create Spaced Out Weekend. James, a career RCMP Officer, and a paranormal investigator, brought a real sense of professionalism and charisma to the weekends with his expertise in ghost investigations. Behind the scenes, James works tirelessly to bring in his creativity to the program with top notch guests and topics.
Dave Scott, host of the flagship Spaced Out Radio, has brought his experience as a journalist to the forefront in asking tough questions and bringing on the biggest names to explain why so many people are experiencing these stories right out of their imagination.
All of this couldn't have happened if it wasn't for Jonny Enoch. Jonny's role behind the scenes in helping set up Spaced Out Radio cannot be forgotten. He pushed Dave to get on the air, and to make this show happen. Jonny was a true driving force to making Spaced Out Radio, and his experience, and positivity has brought us to where we are today.
If you're a fan or a former guest, we would love it if you could join us. Call in and tell us about your time with Spaced Out Radio. 1-607-203-5344.

Why do some of us have an intense fear of someone loving us for who we really are? In my case, I fear that the person would leave me and my heart just wouldn’t be able to take the pain of this person leaving. The same can be said about friendships. After a friend in high school betrayed me, I felt so hurt that I cut off everyone in my life, because (not only her) but many people have hurt me throughout my life and I was afraid to be hurt again. Now, can you imagine the one you love abandoning you when you need him or her the most? This show will discuss the fear of abandonment, self-love, the need to be loved, and the human Soul’s wish to find its Soul Mate. We will also discuss feelings of isolation, grief, despair, sensitivity and self-inflicted pain when a close relationship ends and how to move out of the pain you held so close slowly but surely and opening up to a far greater reality than you could ever have hoped to have. We will also go into depth about the power of the heart to heal and different healing techniques that build confidence in one’s self and the ability to transcend the ego to create a fulfilling life full of love and light. So I hope you join me for this important show that I hope sheds some light into the human psyche and the limitless Soul in each and every one of us...
