Even for someone born with the comedic gene, going through life’s up's and down's can be no joking matter. For Darren Lacroix, little did he know the night he decided to live out his comedic passion on stage performing at an open mic night; that not only would he have a disastrous performance, but that it would change his life forever. He attributes that fateful night as being the beginning of one of the greatest lessons he has learned, the importance of stage time. The ability to recognize how vital stage time is, it allowed Darren to transform into a World Champion of Public Speaking, which he won in 2001. The caveat in all of this is that Darren is still able to use his love of humor to impress upon inspiring messages to audiences all over the world. Please join us as Darren Lacroix offers D44 Talk Radio some radio time prior to the stage time he is scheduled to give at this year’s District 44 Spring Conference. Show Host: Dawn Kamara, ACG, ALB.

Tonight, Pop Art Painter Jamie Roxx (www.JamieRoxx.us) welcomes March To May’s Darren Guyaz & Beth Wesche to the Show.
March To May’s Darren Guyaz (guitar, vocals, keyboard) and Beth Wesche (Celtic harp, vocals) first met in December 2012. By March 2013, the folk/indie/Americana duo had co-written their first two songs, by April they had a paid gig under their belts, and by May they had a name and shows booked out into the months ahead. Before settling in Seattle, Washington, where the act is now based, both Darren and Beth had traversed the Western Hemisphere separately. Darren migrated from the northern Appalachians to his birth-state of Montana, before heading on a South American adventure across the Andes mountain range, eventually falling in love with Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. The daughter of a US Foreign Service Officer, Beth also spent time in the Andes, as well as a host of US states on both coasts, before moving to Seattle, just blocks from where her beloved Celtic harp had been created, years before. The duo has drawn comparisons to acts like The Civil Wars, Damien Rice, the Swell Season, The Banner Days, and Robert Plant and Alison Krauss.

Cindy Hyde interviews Darren Canning from Canada.
"Darren is a revival preacher who has a heart to see people connect to the father with a true heart of intimacy. He believes that when people touch the face of God they are undone and changed. They are like Saul, who became Paul, on the road to Damascus. He was not expecting a visitation from Jesus but that is what he received. Darren expects this to occur in the lives of those he meets and believes it is what is needed to see lasting change come to the hearts of people. He travels throughout the globe seeing revival fire spread wherever he goes." Retrieved from http://www.darrencanning.org/. Please visit his website and watch his video.
Aaron Wilburn brings the house down with laughter... and he does it without four-letter words or making his audience feel uncomfortable.
A feature on the Gaither Homecoming Tour and videos, he has endeared himself to thousands of laughter-loving fans with his own down-home brand of humor, as he talks about his southern roots, his family, children and his faith. It's common to see a grandfather laughing along with his teen-agers and children. As Aaron says, "There is no generation gap with laughter".
Little would one expect that the same buy that brings people to tears with laughter also has written songs that have touched the lives of so many. His gift of songwriting has brought with it Dove Awards as well as Grammy nominations. In 2005 Aaron was honored by his home state as the Alabama Music Hall of Fame put an exhibit of his life and music on display in it's honored halls in the company of such notables as gospel singer Jake Hess and the queen of gospel music, Vestal Goodman. They are surrounded by the likes of Tammy Wynette, Lionel Richie and Percy Sledge just to name a few.
In 2005 David Johnson of the Alabama Music Hall of Fame named Aaron Wilburn the official host/MC of the future Alabama Music Hall of Fame induction ceremonies.
Whether he is on stage in an arena surrounded by 15,000 or in a banquet setting for a corporation or church, Aaron Wilburn is at home. If you tell him, "I loved your act", he'll probably tell you, "That's no act, that's who I am". And to borrow his famous three words, "He's funny!, bless his heart!"
Grief is a normal and natural response to loss. Though we often expect to grieve the death of a family member or friend, many other significant losses can also trigger grief. Examples include:
The end of a relationship
A move to a new community
A much-anticipated opportunity or life goal is suddenly closed to us
The death of a pet
Someone we love contracts a potentially life-threatening illness
Grieving such losses is important because it allows us to ‘free-up’ energy that is bound to the lost person, object, or experience—so that we might re-invest that energy elsewhere. Until we grieve effectively we are likely to find reinvesting difficult; a part of us remains tied to the past.
Grieving is not forgetting. Nor is it drowning in tears. Healthy grieving results in an ability to remember the importance of our loss—but with a newfound sense of peace, rather than searing pain. Join Dr. Darren as he guides us into the Heart of the Matter of the role our subconscious mind plays with Healthy Grieving. Infinite Love & Gratitude!
Does someone else's bullying personality make you feel worthless? Do you mistake people's antics for subtle insults? This Heart of the Matter show will highlight some ways to remain unaffected by the way others treat you, weather it's a weird look, a teasing remark, or direct criticism. Even further, Dr. Darren will take you on a deep dive into the heart of the matter of living life spiritually to see, feel, and hear those painful and insecure reactive parts of your self and others from a compassionate, powerful, and grateful vantage point. Infintie Love & Gratitude!
