The “featured” BlogTalkRadio program “Westchester On the Level with Narog and Aris” opens the Tuesday, August 26, 2014th broadcast day at 10:00 a.m. EDT with Tuesday Co-hosts Richard Narog and Hezi Aris engage in heir favorite subject matter, that of Yonkersites and the City of Yonkers.
At 11:00 a.m. Hezi pivots the focus of attention toward first-time novelist Allegra Jordan's The End of Innocence. It is an original work that unfurls among the halls of Harvard University and Radcliffe College on the eve of WWI. As is often the case in life, death, and war, aspects of each insinuates itself into the Bostonian protagonist Helen Windship Brooks and German poet Wilhelm "Wils" von Luetzow Brandl. Their life, depicted as a test of loyalty, is tested on the eve of war, as each face the issues of love, war, prejudice, and change from opposing sides. At issue is whether redemption and reconciliation became a common denominator then and if Ms Jordan's literary effort suggests relevance one-hundred years hence. The End of Innocence By Allegra Jordan is available in hardcover as of Tuesday, August 26, 2014.
