2-Minute Drill: Week 17 NFL Preview with Danyelle Sargent

    in Football

It is finally here - the fateful Week #17 in the NFL. Our special guest will be TV anchor Danyelle Sargent of the NFL Network, who was a guest on another King James Radio Network program called Crossroads: Danyelle Sargent, where we discussed the highs and lows of Danyelle's career in sports television.
We talk all things NFL with Danyelle, and she if she has a Super Bowl prediction?
We close out the regular season at Buffalo Wild Wings - North Brunswick, NJ. Playoff berths will be on the line, and it could very well go right to the final second.
In the NFC, the Green Bay Packers will look to knock off the Minnesota Vikings, the Chicago Bears meet the Detroit Lions, the Philadelphia Eagles will try to finish off the New York Giants, the Baltimore Ravens will try to derail the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Dallas Cowboys will battlle the Washington Redskins for the NFC East title.
Who will be getting in, and who will be preparing for the 2013 NFL Draft? It's the regular season finale of 2MD.
You can also catch the 2-Minute Drill on our Facebook page.

Voices of South Africa with Elize and ED

    in Politics Conservative

I am the youngest of three girls born to Louis Hoseas Benjamin Moolman and Adelien Engelbrecht Moolman. I was born in 1972 in Johannesburg and lived in Cape Town, Pretoria, Ondangwa (Namibia) to name but a few. My father was a Sargent Major in the Army by the time he went on pension. My mother also joined the military while we lived in Namibia. Both of my sisters left the military as Sargent Majors. I was the only one who didn’t follow in my father’s footsteps. In part because I was found medically unfit to join the forces. I was the rebel in the family. I worked my way into a managerial position fresh out of College with nothing but a Secretarial diploma.

I made friends with people around the world. One of these people ended up being my husband. Who flew to South Africa and refused to leave until he had my hand in marriage. My father reluctantly allowed me to leave and my sisters were angry at me. I started a new life and in Canada I experienced new emotions that I was never aware of before.

I have the “White Shame” complex and “Survivor Guilt” the shame come from thinking of all the people who lost their lives and freedom during Apartheid, the guilt because I am raising my child in a place where the two of us can go for a walk in the bush without fear of other people, only animals. While my nieces’ children, who are slightly younger than him, haven’t even yet learned how to ride a bike because it’s not safe for them to leave their homes.

'The Matt Duffin Show' - Jonathan Winchester & Wounded Warriors

    in Social Networking

Sargent Jonathan Winchester is a friend of mine.  Jon became a professional photographer after 18 years of active duty in the Army; we worked many ballgames together during my sports writing years.  The career Army man didn't reach the 20-year retirement mark because of a TBI and PTSD.  Medically Retired.  We, in the Canal Town area are so proud of his duty and service - 2 tours in Iraq and 1 near deadly tour in Afganhastan (sp),  We'll talk more about the Veteran's Administration, and it's 'form' of recovery.  But Mr. Winchesters post service duty bars none.  Often a pall bearer for those who didn't survvive the wrath of war, Jon has seen Presidental Duty in motor cades, bike rides, memorial motor bike rides and even had his picture on a bike with Pres Obama taken (shut up!).

We'll run other PTSD interviews as time allows.  Also looking forward to an update from Sue Root (maybe), Dr. Kevin Butterfield, Gina around midnight and of course, Sam Way!

Between surgeries and having issues, bare with me.  But, I ALWAYS SHOW UP FOR WORK (now, what I do once there is another opion,)
