Host Barbara Ehrentreu presents a very special show of Red River Radio Tales from the Pages on Thursday, March 26th at 4PM EST. It isn't ofen my listeners get to hear an experienced radio host and today my guest is J. Todd Underhill. J. Todd Underhill started his broadcasting career back in 1994 while he was still in college and continued pursuing both his radio career and his poetry until the present. He has been an announcer for both wrestling and race cars as well as an MC for several poetry cafes in the Denver area. His passion has always been poetry and he has published three books, Partners in Rhyme with Georgia based poet Amanda Norton,Tome I: Genesis  and Tome II : Genesis. His exuberant personality and his talent have created along with his co-broadcasters, Michael Amidei and JT Gunter, a place for any poet to read and have his or her poetry appreciated without judgement. World Open Mic:  http://www.worldpoetryopenmic.net creates a platform for poets all over the world. As you can see I am very excited to bring this unique and talented poet to my listeners. I am a big fan of the show and I just started listening a few months ago. The camaraderie of the poets who convene on Friday nights to listen to and read poetry is unique. Through World Poetry Open Mic I have met some very talented and prolific poets. One of these poets who has inspired me and who also is an author with many years of both teaching experience and writing poetry is Cynthia Sharp. Cynthis lives in British Columbia, Canada and I am also very excited to bring her to my listeners. Cynthia's book How to Write Poetry:  http://www.amazon.com/How-Write-Poetry-Resource-Students-ebook/dp/B00PPYC8N8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1425857850&sr=8-1&keywords=How+to+Write+Poetry+by+Cynthia+Sharp excellent for both novice and experienced poets. Real Talk with Dr. Torri J. Evans-Barton

    in Lifestyle

This is going to be a great show tonight with Dr. Torri J. Evans-Barton Founder and Executive Director of The Fatherless Generation Foundation headquartered in Atlanta Georgia.

On this episode of In Life Now, Dr. Evans-Barton is going to engage us in "girl talk!"

Ladies this show is dedicated to Y-O-U so get sit back, get comfortable, and get in on the conversation...

    About Dr. Torri J. Evans-Barton:

"A transplant from Kalamazoo, Michigan, Torri J. Evans-Barton currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia where she is the Founder & CEO of The Fatherless Generation Foundation. Growing up in a single parent household, Torri faced many adversities adding tremendous devastation to her life emphasizing the fact she needed her father.

This burden burning on the inside of Torri J. Evans-Barton caused her to realize there were others who are growing up fatherless just like her who desire reconciliation with their absent father. Her desire has now turned into a full time mission of “healing the broken places the fatherless experience has created” through her nonprofit, The Fatherless Generation Foundation Inc.  Launched in 2009, TFGF is a non-profit organization based in Atlanta, Georgia reuniting fathers and their children by providing the resources and services that strengthen, support, and elevate the commitment to fatherhood and family values. Their services include Husband & Wife Team Mentor Teams, Peer Groups hosted in The Boys & Girls Clubs of America in 10 cities, Tutoring, but at the helm of the organization is Commitment to Fatherhood Program; the mediation process taking place reuniting biological fathers back into the lives of their children!"

Sasquatch Watch Radio Welcomes Daniel Green

    in Science

Join us Tuesday night March 24, 2015 at 9pm eastern as we welcome Daniel Green to the show.  Daniel recently had a new book published entitled, "Shadows in the Woods: A Chronicle of Bigfoot in Maine".  Ever since the first pathways were cleared through Maine's forested wilderness, something we now call Bigfoot has haunted the edges of civilization. The difference between a contemporary cryptozoological sighting and an encounter with a Wild Man in the eighteenth century is the modern presence of a popularly shared conception of Bigfoot. Whatever one may think of Bigfoot-an extant relict hominid, pure bunk, or something tantalizingly possible-the idea of a large, hairy, man-like creature roaming North American forests is ingrained in our culture. Shadows in the Woods chronicles Maine's rich Bigfoot record in Native American traditions and beliefs, Wild Man sightings, modern Bigfoot encounters, literary appearances of hairy man-like creatures, and strange somethings in tales and stories suggestive of Bigfoot. Whether physical or ethereal, the mysterious presence behind the legend of Bigfoot casts a significant shadow in the Pine Tree State.  Tune in and enjoy!
