He began dancing in 2001 to keep in shape during the off-season and never went back. He works to create dance programs for children and adults who would not typically be given the opportunity to dance and perform. Hailed by the New York Times as "one of the great modern dancers of his time," I spoke candidly with Desmond Richardson about good home training, what's on his mind while performing onstage, and what he learned from working with Michael Jackson. Listen to my interview with this multi talented artist who has mastered classical, modern, and contemporary dance. Oh, and yes, he taps too. I asked.

Richardson has received a Tony Award nomination, the Dance Magazine Award, the Capezio Award, the LA Ovation award, a New York Performance Award (Bessie), the Young Arts Alumni Award and is a recipeint of a Presidential Scholar Award for the Arts.
In 1994, Richardson cofounded Complexions Contemporary Ballet with Dwight Rhoden.
The Session crew comes at you this week with a heavy heart as one of our own has passed away. Dan Duggan was a producer to the show and most importantly a great friend to us... words can't express how much we will all miss him. RIP Danny Boy.
Roshawn Buxton (Ms. Ro) moved to Atlanta, GA. from CA. in 1992 with her young daughter (Destiny) to get a fresh start as a Respiratory Therapist and kick her dance career into full force. Three months after arriving (New Year’s eve 1993) her car was hit by a drunk driver and she sustained a broken neck. Little over a year later while still rehabbing she was struck by an 18 wheeler and discs were ruptured in her lower back. She was told by doctors she should never dance again and she should never have any more children. Despite these trials and tribulations, the passion for dance still lived in her. Giving all glory and honor to God, over the course of a few years she gave birth to a beautiful daughter (Bree) and opened her Dance school (N Motion Dance). People would consistently ask her how she does it. Her response, “I hurt every day, but there is nothing like the power of the dance floor”. Find out more information at www.msrosdancecloset.com
