Summer is winding down...but the Dinner Specials grill is still hot and serving up sizzling interviews. This week is no exception. May and Cynthia are thrilled to welcome photographer/author Baron Wolman. He was there when Rolling Stone magazine took its first baby steps. His informal and candid approach revealed another side to the hottest musical acts that have become legends, including Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Phil Spector, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, and The Grateful Dead, and Ike and Tina Turner. He's written books, flown planes, run a magazine...and he's still looking for his next adventure. He's here to talk up his latest book...Live...all fun, no net, no filter...

** Tonight's Guest**
Cynthia Wilson is a playwright determined to use theater and entertainment to educate, empower, inspire and evoke positive conversation about an otherwise taboo subject. It is past time to Break the Silence against Domestic Violence. As a survivor of Domestic Violence, who suffered in silence for 24 years, it was not my life that mattered enough for me to come forward. My production Cynthia Wilson's Battered but not Broken forces people to talk about it. We cannot change what we don't talk about. Like most bacteria, this only grows rapidly in the dark. As soon as the light has been shed on this national epidemic, only then will we see change occur. Domestic Violence survivors are a unique community of extraordinary people that could be any one around you.
They are springing up all over the neighborhood like a fast food restaurant or a drug store chain: kidney dialysis centers. Why are so many people experiencing kidney failure? Perhaps it's connected to the fast food restaurants and drug store chains. One seems to feed the other - the food with very little nutrition and the medicines that produces so many toxins that the kidneys are overwhelmed and have to have the help of a dialysis machine. Minister Cynthia Williams examines the sickness which has become the fastest growing for-profit business: kidney failure. How do we stop this trend of profits from our pain.
