DoD Fundraises off Cyberattacks; Michele Bachmann Resigns

    in News

While the Chinese cyberattacks make big news and concern defense experts in the U.S., it gives the Department of Defense an argument for funding in Congress during a time of austerity and cutbacks. What does Congress think? For more we talk to Tim Mak, Defense Reporter for Politico.
Congresswoman Michele Bachmann announced she will not be running for re-election next year. The Minnesota Republican who ran for president last in the Republican primary made the announcement in an 8-minute video release early this morning. A firebrand conservative, Bachmann chaired the Tea Party Caucus in Congress and seldom made a speech in the last few years that didn’t criticize the president or the Affordable Care Act. We talk to Shira Toeplitz, Politics Editor for Roll Call.

    The 4Chan Show

    in Computers

Tonight we'll discuss the internet's favourite bad boy, 4chan. The site you all hate to love but love to hate, you all know what I'm talking about; the 4chan. 4chan has recently been all over the news with the suicide attempts and successes of it's users. We'll discuss how 4chan influences pop culture and how it's use of mob mentality can be dangerous.

Recently, a young man in Ontario was persuaded by the 4channers to try and commit suicide. This is a serious matter and not something to be taken lightly because of the implications at hand. The message board on 4chan known as "random" has been involved with many cyberattacks on critical government institutions; what should be done? Do you agree with law enforcement that sites like 4chan should be heavily monitered and shut down?

We'll discuss this and more tonight with our panel which will include; journalists and academics. It's an open forum program and as always, calls will be taken.

    Waiting Upon the Lord

    in Christianity

With all that is being broadcast in the media, the majority (if not all) of the saints are restless.  The attention grabbers have been widespread and no trivial reports...
We hear of the Great Shakeout Earthquake drill, FEMA Region III alert (October 1st deadline), Comet ISON, MERS, WWIII, government stockpiling, EMP threats, FEMA concentration camps, cyberattacks, grid shutdown, Kenya, and the list goes on.
It is overwhelming, but there is a way to remain stable; it's just not easy, but surely necessary.  We are all in a place where we find ourselves...waiting upon the Lord.
Please join me as I discuss numerous current events that have put stress upon many, including believers.  Let's hear from the Lord, as well as various researchers. Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.  Be not wise in your own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to your navel, and marrow to your bones. [Prov 3:5-8]
