THE AUTHORS WORDS on the World Of Ink Network

    in Books

JD Holiday talks with the author Debbie Roppolo. She is the author of many short stories including being published in Chicken Soup for the Coffee Lover's Soul, and Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul.  Klutzin’Around the Christmas Tree was the title for an anthology. In 2011 Debbie published her first children's book, Amelia Frump and her Peanut Butter Loving, Overactive Imagination which she patterned the character "Amelia" after her own childhood. In 2013, Amelia Frump...is Cooking Up a Peanut Butter Storm won second place in the Purple Dragonfly Book Awards. Her book, He's My Brother focuses on how siblings sometimes feel alone after a diagnosis of autism.

After Debbie's son, Joseph was diagnosed with autism, she felt the need to raise awareness about the disorder and become an advocate through her writing. Doing research and conversations with her older son Jonathan, she discovered that siblings sometimes feel alone after a diagnosis of autism. There is little focus on their thoughts and emotions, and they are are forced to cope alone.

He's My Brother was written with the intent of bringing awareness to this situation in addition to supplying information about autism.

Teaching Tolerance, Respect, and Compassion to Our Children with Amy Newmark

    in Moms and Family

Self-esteem, tolerance, good values – these are gifts that will last children a lifetime and help them become successful adults. You can’t be a success in life if you can’t get along with other people — at home, at school, and at play. The values that young adults learn today will stay with them for the rest of their lives and help them become the best adults they can be.

Dr. Milton Boniuk created The Boniuk Foundation to promote compassion, tolerance, and respect. He and his wife Laurie funded The Boniuk Institute for the Study and Advancement of Religious Tolerance at Rice University, with the mission of promoting research, education, outreach, and better parenting to foster religious tolerance.

Join Amy Newmark, the publisher and editor-in-chief for Chicken Soup and me on Tuesday, June 23, 10-11 A.M. CT US  as we discuss their partnership with The Boniuk Foundation, and their use of the power of storytelling to inspire and teach kids how to be role models — exhibiting qualities of tolerance, acceptance and self-esteem, and making good decisions.

    R.R/ KITM/News/P.Diddy Arrested/Living A Happier Life/Obamas Use Of The "N" Word

    in Radio

Much to my surprised, I discovered, when I arise, the goodness and the greatness of stimulating conversation.  Words spoken to make you think, thoughts that make you reason, conclustions that bring you to action, either by spreading the word, opening up the discussion for more provocative or getting a resolution - in other words - Eric & Mark Harris - front & center, and sideways too, if you have a mind 2 - 347-205-9366.

THEN - blasts those thermos containers with soup or coffee.  Did you ever have a thermos, (the old kind) break on you, and ruin your lunch, or whatever meal you had inside?  And what does that have, if anything to do with KINGS IN THE MORNING.  It's a new day with show shocking shtuff. - And yes I said it - S H T U F F - pronounced SHHHHH STUFF.  "Well why didn't you just say that????"  Uh - duh!  KINGS IN THE MORNING 347-205-9366.

WARRIOR WOMAN RADIO- KALPANA SEHWANI, HEAD COACH AND FOUNDER OF LOSTNFOUNDU

    in Lifestyle

Kalpana Sehwani, the Diet-Buster, is the Founder and Head Coach at LostNFoundU, where she helps busy successful women break the cycle of yo-yo dieting, shed the unwanted weight for good, feel energized, be revitalized and finally feel confident and sexy.

Over a span of 20+ years, she was prodded on a quest to manage her weight, waistline and pant size. A former yo-yo dieter herself, she tried countless diets, including The Scarsdale Diet, The Cabbage Soup Diet, Eat More Weigh Less, Weight Watchers, and Atkins, to name just a few. Finally in 2011, determined to do things differently and lose the weight for good, she dug in, studied, and created her system, LostNFoundU. The truth is anyone can lose weight.  But most dieters feel deep shame when they slowly gain the weight back and more, like she did many times over. What she realized is that the key to real health is keeping the weight off for good.  LostNFoundU was so effective that she shed 70 pounds in 7 months, and has kept it off for more than 3 years.  LostNFoundU is the unique system, based on Kalpana's years of trial, error and finally success, in losing the weight for good, reclaiming her health, and finally finding herself in the process.
