JESUS demonstrated the Kingdom during his life’s walk, through power and authority, and his committal to the assignment that the father placed him on in Luke 4:43. Kingdom demonstration is found when you totally trust and live in the father. When you allow yourself to be, fed by the King, instructed by Holy Spirit and guided by faith, you open up the doors of the kingdom of Heaven to add substance, power and purpose to your life. When life deals its deck, the hand isn't always what we expected. Sometimes joys and heartache come packaged. Life is tough enough, but with a brain injury, our ability to process is often challenged. When residuals include fatigue, both mentally and physically, or when emotions run in extremes, and all the rest we're haunted by...We need our tools of recovery, support, and faith most of all.
Tonight is open mic and great Indy music, but I hope you'll call in and share your solutions, or what you've found to be cautions, in dealing with life as it's rolled out. Do you think your brain injury impacts your coping skills more, than with someone who has never had such an injury? Call and share your truth.
Regarding Faith...The Easter Bunny or the practice of gratitude...Or both. What is Easter to you? We'd like to wish those it applies to, a peaceful, reflective, and joyful day from the hosts of Brain Injury Radio.

Joshua-Paul Angell has been an activist in the areas of animal rescue, animal welfare, animal rights, LGBTQ rights and political issues since 1999. He is the host of a syndicated radio show, “The Joshua-Paul Show” which airs live 5 days a week. Starting his show initially as a podcast, he has taken it to new heights and the show is now available on several different options and reaches 110,000 listeners. He runs his show for two main reasons: to raise awareness of issues not discussed in much of the media, and to raise funding for charities. Angell initially gained political notoriety while working on several different civil rights issues while living in Austin, TX. Since meeting former President Bill Clinton he has been further inspired to pursue and expose the tough issues in the political arena and his areas of activism. Touching fame as a fashion designer; his high profile status began to allow him a platform to inform the public on what many would consider the “tough” issues. He has worked with several celebrities including Betty Buckley and Gloria Loring. On his radio show, he promotes several activists, animal rescues and as he describes “the movers and shakers” of America.

Stories give facts meaning. Stories resonate with adults in ways that can bring them back to a childlike open-mindedness — and make them less resistant to experimentation and change.
When we hear a story that touches us profoundly, our lives are suffused with meaning. A story is something that comes from outside. But the meaning is something that emerges from within. Once we have had one story, we are already hungry for another. We want more, in case it too can transmit the magic of connectedness between the self and the universe.
1. Facts are not story
2. Stories are told for a reason
3. Context is critical for a story
4. Stories need protagonists
