Relationships are the stuff of our deepest pain and joy. They can leave gaping holes that cause great vulnerability to addiction, and they are also a large part of healing addictions. Ed Khouri shares a fascinating piece of research that links trauma through early attachment problems to dopamine receptor density that affects the ability to regulate pain, pleasure, and emotions. That sets the bar for the level of relational joy in people’s lives. Propensity for addiction increases radically when relational joy is low. What can be done to increase our joy bonds? Lots! Join Beyond Abuse Radio as we explore the connection between addiction and attachment and catch the hope for healing.

Summary of October 17, 2014 Creation Energies - Brenda's free, channeled, 15-minute show at www.BlogTalkRadio.com/brenda-hoffman: Perhaps you were one of many who experienced an AHA the past few days. Or you shifted from physical to emotional issues or vise versa. But the largest shift this week is global - your Ebola concerns. Just days ago, you were probably concerned about various wars. That concern has shifted to healing and saving lives. Something religious, cultural, gender, racial, sexual preference or economics has not achieved. And so it is, for whatever reason, that Ebola has become a global concern of the heart - a uniting force.
"Bank Your Love Energies?" is the title of this week's Brenda's Blog - her free, channeled blog for www.LifeTapestryCreations.com.

Mud Toe Sasquatch has been a researcher, a materials scientist, a product developer, a quality assurance manager, a schoolteacher, a house painter, a salesman, and amateur actor and director, and a videographer. No matter what avocation he tried, Mud Toe found himself plagued by a persistent sense of spiritual emptiness and an inescapable feeling that human society was fundamentally flawed. He has struggled with substance abuse and self-destructive behavior since he was a teenager.
Four years ago, Mud Toe embarked on a spiritual journey working the Twelve Steps of recovery. Today, he is a PhD student at a well known Major University in the Midwest. He has also accepted a call to become a Healer of Society in the Nemenhah Native American tradition, which he has joined through spiritual adoption. He writes and speaks about his experiences in addiction and recovery, and publishes his words so they might reach those who need them. He maintains a Facebook page of his writings, and now will be sharing his thoughts on a weekly radio program on Withinsights radio called "Mud Toe at Midnight."
Mud Toe is not your average, everyday shaman. For him, it's not all "Love and Light." He is not afraid to access and embrace the darker elements of his experience. His intention is to be fully honest with his readers and his audience. He paints vivid pictures, and they're not always pretty.
Join Mud Toe every Friday at Midnight for a different kind of spiritual program.

This weeks edition of the encouragement group focuses on how our value as human beings exists even though we have made mistakes and poor choices in life. Host David Gerber experientially demonstrates how like people, objects of value retain their value, even when crumpled and dirtied. As always, miracles will be shared.

I have suffered from anxiety ever since I can remember. Social anxiety, incesant, debilitating anxiety. I called it by by different names; addiction, sensitivity, artist, all trying to explain, define, understand, and diagnose why life why always so hard for me. I self-medicated, using pot, food, sex, love, TV, etc. Now, as I become aware of the true nature of my struggles, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
On today's show, let's discuss this little bugger and the ways we try to quiet that voice in our heads, the one that says we can't do anything, shouldn't do anything, aren't good enough to do anything, and do everything wrong. If you suffer from depression and anxiety, this is the episode for you.
