Book: Alters of the Heart
Do events from your past continue to play over and over in your mind? Do you feel like your relationship with God is not where it should be? Are you looking for a deeper worship experience?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then I have some good news for you. The answer may seem far away, but it’s actually much closer than you think.
Altars of the Heart will take you on a journey to rediscover who you are and give you authentic tools to help you connect back to walking hand-in-hand with God through deeper worship.
The knowledge and insight that you will gain from reading this book will take you to a life of newfound liberation from insecurities, fear, doubt, shame, and un-forgiveness.
You will be encouraged to do an internal “heart” examination, to re-evaluate how you interact with others, make choices and worship the Lord.
The Word of God specifically states in the book of Hosea 4:6, that my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. I issue a challenge to you to open this book, and allow your life to experience freedom from bondage and finally discover your path to deeper worship.
Mud Toe Sasquatch has been a researcher, a materials scientist, a product developer, a quality assurance manager, a schoolteacher, a house painter, a salesman, and amateur actor and director, and a videographer. No matter what avocation he tried, Mud Toe found himself plagued by a persistent sense of spiritual emptiness and an inescapable feeling that human society was fundamentally flawed. He has struggled with substance abuse and self-destructive behavior since he was a teenager.
Four years ago, Mud Toe embarked on a spiritual journey working the Twelve Steps of recovery. Today, he is a PhD student at a well known Major University in the Midwest. He has also accepted a call to become a Healer of Society in the Nemenhah Native American tradition, which he has joined through spiritual adoption. He writes and speaks about his experiences in addiction and recovery, and publishes his words so they might reach those who need them. He maintains a Facebook page of his writings, and now will be sharing his thoughts on a weekly radio program on Withinsights radio called "Mud Toe at Midnight."
Mud Toe is not your average, everyday shaman. For him, it's not all "Love and Light." He is not afraid to access and embrace the darker elements of his experience. His intention is to be fully honest with his readers and his audience. He paints vivid pictures, and they're not always pretty.
Join Mud Toe every Friday at Midnight for a different kind of spiritual program.

Tonight I discuss the notion of living with, loving or being the "expert." I HATE when I become "the expert." I hate when I need others to kiss my ass and tell me I am awesome. Why do I do that?
What about you? Do you do that? Do you live with a self-proclaimed expert, a pompous prognosticator and just want to just punch them in the face or kick them in the balls? Then you need to listen.
I am is a fiery and outspoken humorist who combines his E-True Hollywood life story, improvisational theatre and play-writing talents, psychological and theological education and counseling profession into an action packed show of ideas, commentary and insights that hopefully inspire you to improve the quality of your life by getting your head out of your ass and your ass off of the couch.

The new face of heroin addiction is young, white and suburban, according to a recent study in the journal JAMA Psychiatry. Alex Zaphiris, MD, MS, a San Francisco medical doctor who specializes in opiate recovery, says this study mirrors her experience. Heroin is cheaper but dosage is uncertain compared to pills, which puts people at increased risk of overdose." Dr. Zaphiris has an innovative approach for helping people who are struggling with opiate use. She utilizes the latest science to teach patients how their brains are different, and how to heal them by incorporating critical nutritional and brain chemistry components. "This mind/body approach features cutting edge integrative medicine so that people with opiate addiction can understand what’s going on physiologically, and what their minds and bodies need for sustained recovery," explains Dr. Zaphiris. Heroin abuse has been moving to the suburbs….we all need to know about it, and about what to do. Please join me for this show. Click to visit the Doctor's website: RecoverySuperstar.com!

Dr. Eliseo (Cheo) Torres, Since he was a boy growing up on the border of Texas and Mexico, Eliseo Torres, known to everyone as “Cheo,” has been fascinated by the folk traditions and folkways of Mexico and of his Mexican American roots. Now an administrator at the University of New Mexico, where he is Vice President for Student Affairs and a member of the faculty of the College of Education, Cheo regularly lectures and gives presentations on the history and lore of curanderismo to audiences ranging from scholars and students of Latin American culture to people hoping to become knowledgeable about alternative and traditional medicine, including lay people and medical professionals alike. He has published two books on his life in and research on his subject area: Curandero: A Life in Mexican Folk Healing, and Healing with Herbs and Rituals: A Mexican Tradition, both available from the University of New Mexico Press.

B. Kendall (Barbara Kendall Reed) paints abstracts that are inspired by her love of color and life’s many subtle as well as intense moments. Furthering her admiration for abstract painting is her view of life through the prism of diversity and cultural differences. Born of Creole heritage and raised on a military base in Dugway, Utah, it is hard for her not to have experienced the depth and breath of life. She has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Italy, France, England and other places around the world.
She received her B.F.A. degree from Xavier University in New Orleans, Louisiana where she studied under the late MacArthur Genius Award recipient, John T. Scott. Her art has appeared in many publications including the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Images Magazine, The Story, Upscale Magazine and Positive Images Magazine. She has exhibited at the Hammonds House Museum in Atlanta, GA., Kathleen Coleman Gallery in Houston, TX., Clay Gallery in Atlanta, GA. and Stella Jones Gallery in New Orleans, LA.
Barbara has completed her first book of art and poetry where she has combined her love for abstract art with her expressive inspirational writings. Her art is an explosive experience with colors; it is no accident that the book is entitled, “Life Iz Colorful”.
She maintains a studio in downtown Atlanta where she paints, writes and teaches creativity to adventurous students of art.
