I would like to welcome Eden Grace to the show! Eden explains to us how for most of us in the West, maturing into womanhood comes with a vast amount of negative associations with our body, not only with the outer appearances but also the relationship we have with our inner body and the emotions that stem from body shaming, hormones and how we learn to deal with our monthly cycle. How many women learn to celebrate our womb energy and monthly cycle as the giver of life? How many of us hold a positive body image of ourselves no matter what we look like? Do you want to build better boundaries for yourself, to have a voice, to ask for what you want and feel empowered? Be sure to tune into www.blogtalkradio.com/conscioustalkradio to find out more about this sacred topic! You can also listen in by calling (347) 850-8423.
On today's show we will talk about the very important topic of having healthy boundaries. In order to live a life that is true to ourselves and in our integrity, we need to have healthy boundaries. The term 'healthy boundaries' really means being aware of how we are feeling in the moment, being in tune with our Higher Selves, and taking action accordingly.
In working with clients, and in our own lives as well, we can see that most of life's obstacles or problems we encounter stem from unhealthy boundaries, in ourselves or in others. It's a very human thing--we can become so distracted by the busyness of our lives, getting stuck in our heads thinking about what to do next, that it creates times when we can't see what is happenening right under our noses. Or we want to be helpful so we override our gut feeling telling us to take a break or telling us to steer clear of a certain person; we override it and get into trouble. Through present moment awareness and raising our vibration, those times become less and less, and thereby we can live a life with more authenticity and joy.

USING FICTION AS A GATEWAY TO SCIENCE
I love this topic.....Follett Learning bring us Tech Trainer Mike Jones, a life science teacher from Bloomington IL, and NIU's Director of The STEM Read program,Gillian King-Cargile... going to be an outstanding show. Jenny Meyer from Follett joins us as well.
My guest tonight is Kahlil Muhammed, a retired teacher and athletic coach from Chicago Schools, former high school football player and former sparring partner in Sugar Ray Leonard's camp. He is currently studying agriculture science and master gardening. Tonight he will share his passion for organic gardening and discuss his concerns about brain dis-ease.
As with most athletes today who have played contact sports like hockey, boxing or football, many have a concern of developing CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalitis), a brain disease, but some, like my guest have discovered a new career and lifestyle that reduces their risks of CTE and improves their brain health.
