Riding as Team GCC (Grove City College), they will raise money for a diversity and need-based scholarship for their school. More than just their connection at Grove City, the team has a common passion for people. Team GCC plans to highlight people and groups who are “doing good” in their community and world by documenting their stories. The trek will take them from May 25 – August 10. Josey Milner is part small town teen, part road-worthy country starlet, and at only 17 years old, she turned heads and changed hearts with her debut US single, “Not Pretty Enough.” The song thrust Josey into the country music spotlight, launching her anti-bullying campaign with Angels and Doves, earning her a 2013 Independent Country Music Award nomination for Promising Young Artist, a Top 10 Hottest New Artist designation, and a Number One single on the world’s first independent country music chart, Indie World. Now, 18 and a recent Magna Cum Laude high school graduate, Josey has taken her initial successes to greater heights with “Cowgirls.”
“Cowgirls” was recorded at Awestruck Studios with her “Not Pretty Enough” production team of Micah Burdick and Matthew Russo (Hall and Oates.) Mastering engineer, Larry Gann (John Rich, Elton John) also played drums on the track, with Jimmy Mattingly (Dolly Parton, Reba, Garth) on fiddle and Smith Curry (Jason Aldean, Randy Travis) on pedal steel. The single was released to country radio in November 2013, and it reached #1 on the New Music Weekly country charts and Top 75 on Music Row! “Cowgirls” is a boot-kicking, foot stomping dance anthem that has country radio fans
singing along with this down-home darling…
Like many before him, South Carolina native Ricky Young traveled a long and winding road to Nashville. As a former University of South Carolina alum and baseball player, he spent five years after college in the minor leagues, playing gigs anywhere he could find a stage and the time.
If there is a “correct way” to come to Nashville, Young is textbook. He has established himself as a student of the craft of songwriting, securing coveted co-writes with Zac Brown Band, Lee Brice, Dave Gibson, Steven Williams and Stephen Allen Davis. He earned the respect of Nashville because of his pointed, damn-near-perfect lyrics.
Young’s first single “Could You Love Me Again” hit radio in February of 2013, and his army of fans have been buzzing about it for months. His YouTube channel has over a million views, the video for “Could You Love Me Again” went viral, garnering 100,000 views in its first week. Young’s next single “I Carry It With Me” is a duo with fellow Carolina crooner and long time friend Lee Brice, and is set to release in early next year.
This year, Young is releasing his follow-up EP, "Feels Damn Good," and is touring the southeast/midwest. The first single release on the EP is "Baby Wussup," a feel-good summer song featuring Bubba Sparxx that was released April 1, 2014. "Baby Wussup" and the other tracks on Feels Damn Good were written by Young and he feels his true affliction and creative style in music is breaking through in this album.
Matt Austin grew up in the Detroit downriver area with a guitar-playing father but he didn’t gain interest in playing until his uncle from Texas moved to Michigan. He was inspired first by the sound of the blues guitar greats Stevie Ray Vaughn and Jimi Hendrix. Matt later fell in love with this new age country genre that is growing by leaps and bounds.
In 2013 along with releasing his new EP Matt Austin, was also direct support for Lee Brice, Brantley Gilbert, Uncle Kracker, Aaron Lewis, Josh Gracin, Charlie Worsham, Chase Rice and Jerrod Niemann.
MA has also performed in 2013 to thousands at many of the great country music festivals in Michigan such as 99.5 WYCD’s downtown hoedown and the Faster Horses series at Michigan international speedway.
Jake Dodds & Stagecoach Revolver are a high energy country band. Playing their brand of country music throughout a growing number of cities. Reigning from Southern Indiana the band is the 2013 HANK FM Radio battle of the band winners in Indianapolis and in 2013 opened for some of country music's biggest names! Including Lee Brice, Tyler Farr, Dustin Lynch, Chris Cagle, Chase Rice, Josh Thompson and a stop on Luke Bryan's Dirt Road Diaries Tour.
With a debut EP on the horizon of 2014 the band shows no signs of slowing down. The band builds a solid dedicated following week by week. The "Party Nation" is only beginning. Make sure to check out a show when the guys are near your hometown to find out what its all about.
