With Kurtis once again busy working on the film "Get Away" we will be bringing you a repeat of one of our most downloaded episodes. This episode originally aired shortly after Steve Job's death. Here's the original show description - -- We are very excited to welcome Robert Cringely to our show to discuss "Steve Jobs: The Lost Interview." Mr. Cringely appeared in the documentaries "Triumph of the Nerds" and "Nerds 2.0.1" which chronicled the rise of the personal computer and the early days of the Internet. As a part of “Triumph of the Nerds,” he interviewed Steve Jobs for over an hour, but only a portion of this interview was used in the documentary. Recently, the full interview was rediscovered on a VHS tape and was released by Landmark Cinemas. Join us as we discuss both Mr. Cringely’s contributions to information technology journalism, as well as a detailed Q&A on the Steve Jobs interview. Bringing you the absolute worst in technology news coverage and web talk radio... guaranteed!
In the January/February 2009 issue of the MIT Technology Review, Robert X. Cringely published the article "In an effort to move forward, Intel dusts off old supercomputing technology." (Posted online at http://www.technologyreview.com/computing/21806/?a=f). There were some controversial things said that fostered a bit of discussion around the water cooler. Join Aaron, Clay, and Michael discussing and rebutting some of the statements and ideas that were put forth in the article, as well as, giving some of their opinions on the future of multi-core technology and programming.
