WOMEN IN WIRELESS is a global networking non-profit group of over 12,000 members with the mission to connect, inspire and empower women in mobile and digital. I'm Liz Horowitz, Co-Chair of the Executive Women’s Initiative with WOMEN IN WIRELESS. We created this podcast series to hear the stories of exceptional women who've advanced to an executive level in this often male dominated industry and gain inspiration from their journey.
"The woman is the design. The shirt is the detail."
Joining me is Farinaz Taghavi, International Clothing Designer- born in Iran and immigrated to the U.S. at age 16 and making her home in Seattle for the last 20 years.
Her collection of women's shirts and other pieces were designed to celebrate women; to enable women to express their sense of style and confidence in a highly personal matter.
We will be discussing her journey into the Fashion Industry and her passion in helping inspire other women.

When it comes to finances most black women do not have a basic understanding of what they should be doing and what they should be aware of. Today we will look at six of the most common thing black women do not focus on or are simply not aware of. Black women are way behind when it comes to personal finances as opposed to the general population, yes I said the general population. However, armed with a little knowledge, common sense, and discipline we can make some key changes and turn things around with time. When you know better, you do better.
There's a line rattling around on the Internet:
"Things have gone so crazy that if there was a zombie apocalypse, there would probably be zombie rights activists."
Join us Friday as we continue to call out mile markers as we travel the road to the unraveling.
Whether it's gonna be a zombie apocalypse - or an economic, or a political one - still too soon to say.
But bad things do happen when civilizations indulge themselves in fantasies that doing increasingly irrational stuff is going to solve their escalating problems that were brought on by irrationality in the first place.
Let's kick around some of the latest craziness at noon (eastern) on Friday.
Feel free to bring your own examples of craziness. And if you like, suggest your own coping strategies.
Just because the country - or the world - has gone crazy doesn't mean you have to.
