ENVISION THIS: A world in which science and only science no longer provides all the answers to everything
Craig Weiler, author of TED, WIKIPEDIA, AND THE BATTLE FOR THE INTERNET, is a psychic and Parapsychology Journalist who blogs on the PSI controversy at The Weiler Psi. He documents the TED controversy over removing Rupert Sheldrake and other parapsychology researchers from the TEDx speakers list. TED is “A nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. .” Craig believes TED administrators caved in to pressure from organized, dogmatic skeptics, betraying their mission. He explains how “The Internet is changing how science is done by making the skeptical gatekeeping much more difficult. Information about consciousness research has spread far and wide and its supporters are growing ever more vocal. Among those supporters is a growing group of people who are persistent and engaged enough to do battle with the skeptical paradigm.” Craig advocates for an end to “scientism, the belief system in which science and only science has all the answers to everything.” He writes, “This regrettable condition acts to preclude their unbiased consideration of phenomena on the cutting edge of science.”
On this episode with Craig, Merry and Burl will explore how breaking free from this cultural meme of science as an “ism” (the ultimate arbiter of what may be thought and acted upon) can help humankind co-create a more inclusive, less materialistic future. Craig Weiler seeks to convince us that “skepticism is a form of bigotry,” the next bigotry that we must confront to evolve into a more open-minded, evidence based culture. We will suggest that Craig is, himself, acting as a skeptic to scientism.

This week Jeanette will be speaking with Jeff Craig, an epigenetic researcher at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute. Jeanette has asked friends and contacts to come up with some questions for Jeff given that genetic research can be a little bit contentious. This show could generate some differences of opinion and robust discussion - often a good thing.
Jeff Craig decribes himself as a researcher at work and in the garden. In his early career, he was locked inside a dark room for a few years studying human chromosomes. Seven years ago he saw the light and started working with human early life cohorts, which made his life much more interesting. He now blames epigenetics for every chronic illness, spouts forth such phrases as "you are what your mother ate" and is just starting to produce evidence to support these ideas. He believes that students, General Practitioners, and the public need to know about his crazy ideas and frequently speaks to them to get feedback to inspire his research. He is also obsessed with twins and thinks that they hold the key to understanding to roots of all human health problems. Jeff's aim is to use the science of 'epigenetics' to detect autisms early and to help understand the causes and mechanisms of autisms.

From Craig Lewis: Our animal companions mean the world to us. For those of us who have struggled throughout our lives, who have been abandoned, mistreated, subjugated and disempowered, we know the damage that has impacted our psyche. I am one of these people. I know what it means to be damaged to my core. There have been many times in my life when I was unsure if I would make it the next day. There have been many times in my life that the pain I was experiencing was too much to manage and that the prospect of never hurting again was a beautiful thought to have. Even in the past three months, abject despair has, at times, consumed me. However, there was something different going on this time. I have an animal companion in my life who is depending on me to care for him. No matter how bad things became I felt a responsibility to him. His name is Max the Cat. Max the Cat is a rescue. He has experienced abandonment two times in his short life. No matter what was going on with me, I simply could not abandon him. I know the brutal pain of abandonment. Every day I spent time with him, patting him, brushing him and singing to him. He responded by smothering me with his love. He saw and heard me cry every day, sometimes uncontrollably, and he knew of my pain and suffering and he gave me his unconditional love. Without Max the Cat being in my life these past few months, I would be dead. I love Max the Cat and he has helped me stay alive and his love has helped heal me in ways that I have never experienced before. We want to hear from listeners about your precious and loved animal companions. Many of you may have had a loving animal companion who may no longer be with you. This is an opportunity to honor and celebrate all the beauty they brought to your life. For those of us who know the life impacting love of an animal, this is a time to celebrate this love. Bark Bark. Meow Meow. Ribbit.

A Pan Aryan Panel Discussion on the future & direction of Racial Nationalism
“Moderation vs. Commitment to Principles”
Moderates in the Jared Taylor/Amren & American Freedom Party camps seek compromise/Unity on issues of Race, Jewry, Homosexuality, while other more committed Racial Groups like ANA, Aryan Nations, and Britain’s National Front steadfastly maintain a “no compromise” position on these issues. Moderates believe core principals must be dispensed with in the name of “pragmatism”, while hardliners say we must not conform to the corrupt system we seek to end. Moderates often seek to work within the System, while hardliners are genuine political Revolutionaries that seek to end the System. Are these two factions reconcilable?
