Hipnotics ... LA Psychedelic R&B Band

    in Rock Music

Tonight Pop Art Painter Jamie Roxx (www.JamieRoxx.us) welcomes the LA Based Psychedelic R&B Band, Hipnotics to the show!

Hipnotics are an up-and-coming, and I mean rocketing to the moon, experimental psychedelic rock band from Los Angeles.  Heavily influenced by the cosmic sounds of the late 60’s, the band consists of five music-savvy individuals: Lead Guitar/Vocalist - Matt Ernst, Bassist - Sean Conway, Drummer - Josh Apple, Guitarist/Keys - Zach “Binxy” Apple, and last but not least, Flautist/Saxophone - Zach “RoseGold” Rose - the newest addition to the band.
Most have known each other for over eight fruitful years. Together they’ve developed a unique style of vocal sampling and sound wave manipulation that combines their R&B, Rock n’ Roll and psychedelic influences.

The Kerri Edelman Show presents Rock Band Red Sun Rising

    in Rock Music

Rock music should be built to last. Since its genesis, the genre has been all about longevity not a “flavor of the month” or a “flash in the pan.” Whether you go back to the seventies or nineties pillars, the goal was to create something that can be lived with for a lifetime. It still can be that way. Akron, Ohio’s Red Sun Rising—Mike Protich [vocals/guitar], Ryan Williams [guitar], Tyler Valendza [guitar], Ricky Miller [bass/vocals], and Pat Gerasia [drums], proudly carry on that tradition with their full-length debut, Polyester Zeal [Razor & Tie]. “It’s not today’s rock, but it’s a new alternative,” declares singer and guitarist Mike Protich. Through tireless gigging, they built up an impressive local fan base, soon attracting the attention of multiple labels. Razor & Tie rushed to Akron in the Fall of 2014 and signed the band following a sold out hometown show.  The band headed to Los Angeles shortly after to cut Polyester Zeal with celebrated producer Bob Marlette [Black Sabbath, Shinedown, Seether]. They managed to siphon the pure, potent, powerful guitar chemistry, towering vocals, and muscular rhythms into the record’s 11 tracks with all of the “grit” intact. The first single “The Otherside” sees thick clean guitars clash with an unshakable refrain that’s as airy as it is anthemic. However, Polyester Zeal will be, and it firmly establishes Red Sun Rising’s place in rock. “The title sums it up,” concludes Mike. “Zeal is something you strive for, while Polyester is obtainable. The juxtaposition is, ‘What’s your obtainable dream?’ Ours is to tell stories through these songs. Hopefully, it makes you feel something. That’s what rock is supposed to do after all.” For more information, visit www.redsunrisingmusic.com

Shiloh Musik, singer and songwriter for Baltimore-based band Fathom, has invented a genre he calls "RomantiCore." Shiloh is influenced by rock icons such as HIM, The Rasmus, and MUSE, as well as classical composers Mozart, Beethoven, and Bach. Fathom’s sound includes heavy guitars, haunting piano, and rocking grooves, with a good share of double kick. On top of that, add Shiloh’s heartfelt, often lamenting, vocals with an occasional scream, and you have the perfect mix of romantic and hardcore… RomantiCore.

The Kerri Edelman Show presents Dark Alt/Hard Rock Band September Mourning

    in Rock Music

September Mourning has just recorded her debut EP. It tells a story in 6 songs, an epic tale of “heartbreak, loss, pain, joy, love, redemption, but most of all, courage…” Produced by Sahaj Ticotin, September Mourning revives the concept of rock star meets superhero. If Marilyn Manson and X-Men's Storm had a kid, it would be September Mourning, who also cites influences as varied as Paramore, Motionless in White, David Bowie, and My Chemical Romance. “For me, the project is a story, a theatrical art piece,” September explains. “Music is the backbone, but for this to work, it has to include the imagery and the narrative all symbiotically linked into the whole. Music taps into your innermost being. There’s something very intimate and personal about it.” The character of September Mourning is a human-reaper hybrid, who feels the need to give some human souls a second chance, and thus toys with Fate. To expound on this narrative, September is working with iconic comic book artist Marc Silvestri, who started out on the original X-Men comics and went on to form Top Cow Productions (Witchblade, The Darkness). Together, they are putting together the story of September Mourning in graphic form, to accompany, and enhance the musical message. Having toured with Marilyn Manson, September Mourning has already built up an impressive fan base, which she calls her “Children of Fate,” constantly encouraging them to have “the courage to embrace their passion… to allow yourself to follow your heart and not be a slave to your fears. To know that the only boundaries that exist in our lives are the ones we allow.” Be sure to pick up a copy of their amazing EP titled 'Volume I' featuring the hit single 'Eye Of The Storm.' The Kerri Edelman Show presents Hard Rock Band Trapt

    in Rock Music

Holing up in a Burbank, California studio, Trapt began to prolifically crank out songs for their 5th album "Reborn." The record's first single "Bring It" served as the catalyst, sparking a veritable flurry of creativity. Fusing together propulsive guitars and an unforgettable upbeat refrain, it's an anthem on par with the band's biggest hits. You could easily hear this piping through an arena with a rallying power. Expanding their patented hard rock sound, the group also seamlessly incorporated flourishes of electronic music to punctuate the drama and energy. Drawing from an ever expanding pallet of electronic and organic sounds and instruments, Brown embraced another side of himself and imbued it into Reborn. Trapt have worked for well over a decade to reach this point. Their 2002 self-titled debut surpassed sales of 2 million units, and its lead-off single "Headstrong" was ranked the #1 alternative song and #8 rock song by Billboard. They were a featured act on Rock Band and Tap Tap Revenge 2, and they also fueled countless WWE specials. In addition, they've shared the stage with heavy hitters such as Mötley Crüe, Nickelback, Hinder, Chevelle, and many more. Most recently, No Apologies entered the Billboard Top 200 at number 25 in 2010. Trapt is currently in the studio recording their 6th album DNA and have released a song from the album called "Passenger" that embodies the more progressive side of TRAPT's brand of hard rock as an intro to what fans can expect from the album. The band is also gearing for their summer tour dubbed the "Life In Your Own Hands" Tour. The new album DNA is shaping up to be a landmark album for TRAPT. It surpasses anything the band has done before and subsequent singles will show the true power that this band possesses. Get ready for DNA, it's going to change everything.
